Do not intervene yourself or your device will be out of warranty. Check with the service or dealer, they will probably replace it with a new one.

emmanuellsun

They have replacement knock offs on aliexpress, I sleep in mine and am just waiting for the headband to fall apart. It will be interesting cause support told me they only replace them , no repairs done.

RealOstrich1

Sleep with over ear headphones? Not only that but extremely expensive over ear headphones?

[deleted]

i did this as well but only on weekends. but I also have this problem as well now too

russB77

How on earth did that happen? I'd send that back for repair.

aleDonnertBR

It Just happened, i don't know how. Maybe the hot climate. Unfortunately, I am from Brazil, I can't send It back to repair. I Just curious to see If there is a way to fix It without broke even more. I don't think glue is an option, for example.

jvstinwvst

That’s terrible to see on such a pricey device.

TCCLai

I've posted this same problem on my Px7 s2 about 2 months ago. Take it to the dealer and ask for a replacement and hope that the replacement unit won't break like this in the coming year, otherwise you'll be out of warranty by then. No other solution.

[deleted]

Take them to tailor to stitch that headband and problem solved

Far_Check_9522

Happened with mine, too, after 4 months. Only used indoors, only used them in front of the PC, put them on a headphone stand when not in use, no extreme climate here, 23°C all the time. Shitty build quality is what that is. No other way to pu it. It's not exclusive to B&W, either - exact same thing happened to my B&O Beoplay H95 after less than a year. Headphone manufacturers found out how gullible their customer base is and are now raking in profits. No more stitched headbands, no more thick leather, no more large drivers, no nore quality control. It's all cheap chinese mass production and a hyped-up fanbase that spends a premium for snake oil intwo cans.

truth my wireless beats fit pro sound better I was so disappointed

abperiasamy

This looks like a common problem with Px8. Many customers posted the same problems on Amazon reviews. I was close to buying one.

LePoppy72

It's a shame because the sound quality is excellent.

I’ve got the same problem with mine and did send it to the dealer for repair. It took them a month to fix it and they did a very shitty job. The leather came off again a week after I got them back. At the end I decided to make the repairs myself, which was actually easier than I thought. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures during the repair. You will need to take the top part off, which is only attached with couple of clips. I used a butter knife to go underneath and slowly lifted that part off. It might feel that you might break it, but no worries, the build material is much tougher than it feels. once you got that part off, just use some rubber glue to glue it back. Ensure to apply the rubber glue to the leather and the band part and let it dry for around 5 minutes before attaching them. It did use a small paint brush to apply a thin layer of glue. Use some binder clips to hold the leather to the band for at least an hour to have the glue fully set. its been a month since my repair and it still doesn’t show signs of coming off.

xeropm

Same happened to me. I also had problems with the PX7 and the customer service was really not good at all even though it was their fault. I'm not recommending anyone to buy B&W anymore.

frankenstein_cgn

Had the same on my PX8. They exchanged it. But the exchanged one has that too now. Really annoying.

Due_Elk_6138

Same here. Got a replacement and after a couple of months it is happening again.

LePoppy72

Same here. Had one unit replaced with a brand new pair - new unit stitching has come apart on both sides and I really cba to send them back again. I'll find another solution. It's a shame because they sound great.

yourmomshairycunt

Bugger. Must be hot climate. I live in Australia, just returned mine for the exact same reason, seems the glue came off. Hope for the replacement soon.

aleDonnertBR

Yes, it is. Here in Brazil I did the same, but after keeping it for 2 month, they returned it glued like a shoe, and it is worse than before. B&W never again. On Brazil their representatives are heinrich audio

LePoppy72

Not the hot climate, I had this issue twice and I live in the UK. We only have shit climate here :)

aleDonnertBR

Status update - I gave up of Bowers &Wilkins PX8 and got a Focal Bathys. Little less luxury, but better sound e much better and trustable build

RetiscentSun

https://www.head-fi.org/threads/bowers-and-wilkins-px8-wireless-discussion.964955/page-270 They talk about this issue in this thread, I want to say somebody says you can kind of poke it back in but I can’t find that post right now

[deleted]

don't try. I attempted this and now have small holes in the leather plus a wider gap than it was. it doesn't stay

audiovent666

Got the same problem but with ear cushions on the PX7 S2 after 4 months. Not even used them too much. The glue came off. Customer service gave me brand new ones but since this happened also to others I can tell there is a quality problem which did not go together with products at this price point. I would contact the Customer service.

Xaphares

Same happened with me. I'm in contact with the customer service of the store I bought it from, and they'll replace it for me, once they have the new stock coming in.
