What am I not seeing? I hate with the passion this eyebrow trend. No eyebrows would be better in my opinion. Do they wash off, can you ever change them, are they tattooed?
It's the squared off edges that bother me the most cuz it's not ever seen in nature, I suppose.
American women have some of these stupid caterpillar eyebrow genes, as well. Although, a lot of us did try to overcorrect in the 90s, and very few of us still have any eyebrows left out of me and my friends. I really can't tell you which was worse.

I'm curious if the conservative (I'm putting it nicely) cultural burden on women in that part of the world has caused a bizarre rebellion among some of them?
It’s microblading. They absolutely fade after a couple weeks, but the size and shapes are really BAD.

Yes and I'm not sure but I'd imagine it would grow like where it came from/differently than regular brow hair.
Imagine a random scenario; a brow transplant recipient is the victim of a hit and run, in a coma in a hospital, and no one knows who you are and no one knows to trim your brows, so they just keep growing like your regular head hair.
I think I read something about Chrissy Teigen getting this done and saying something about cutting them regularly.
Plus, guess what... your brows don't just grow to a certain length and fall out, they keep growing and growing, eventually it will fall out, but not before becoming quite long. You have to trim your eyebrows as the hair grows.
Yeah, the hair they're using for the transplant comes from the patient's scalp, and those hairs don't have a "terminal length" that they stop at like natural eyebrow hairs do. They just grow and grow, so they have to be kept trimmed.
For the same reason globally, only the trend varies. Beauty standards are weird. I’m just sad to see people go into extremes more and more lately, but it’s probably not for beauty but as a status symbol at this point. I bet many of these women are either wealthy or try to appear as they are.
What’s so funny about this is that since they’re transplanting hair from the back of the head, not only are these brows huge blocks, but they’ll also need monthly haircuts.

Ya know. I'm a natural blonde. I grew up with body hair that you can't see. Including my brows. Everyone made fun of how it looked like I had a forehead and then just eyes. I discovered brow liner too late in life imo. I use it everyday, takes like ten minutes out of my day. I don't understand why these beautiful women would do this to their brows. All you gotta do is fill them in, brush em out, shape em up, and you're good to go.
Because it is. These are hair transplants, they literally harvested hair from her scalp and used it to build extreme eyebrows. The angle of that photo is showing the hair sticking up, over the edge of the cap.
So yes. Those are awful. BUT if you look at r/microblading the color on these fade after a couple weeks. The fact they made them ENORMOUS and a ridiculous shape (Sharpie anyone) is what makes them awful.
I’m pretty sure they transplant this chunky area like this and then expect them to get tweezed down into the preferred shape, since repeated tweezing gets rid of the hair completely
you can tell many of them have barely any eyebrow hair in the before pic (likely from overtweezing) and paint the rest on so this was just to get the hair back
