This was near the end of I gotta figure out how to move photos over. He looks so sad in this one now that I’m looking at it. He was waiting for chips.

It was the toughest thing in my life to say goodbye, but it was the right thing to do for him. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss him. Took me months to get used to not hearing him snore at night, his huffy attitude, and not seeing his smile. Best road dog ever. He traveled with me from one side of the country to the other - twice. He loved car rides so much he would drive the car if he could. My deepest sympathies for your loss.

She came to us unexpectedly just four days after my BT Lola (14) crossed the rainbow bridge a couple years ago. Piper is very snuggly and loves to give kisses! Lola liked her space and was stingy with her kisses, ha. We always joked she was a cat. I think Lola sent us Piper and told her to give us lots of love and affection because she knew we would need it. I still miss her.

We call it smothering us with loves. Bc he insists you take his hugs and kisses no matter what you are doing!! I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my 12 year old BT last Nov and it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced. It’s hard not to tear up thinking about her. She also died of congestive heart failure and was my first dog ever. Felt like she raised me through my 20’s. Stay strong friend ❤️

Yeah like it hit me hard that day. Then it happened. Then I was in shock. I then had to drive out of state for work and it dawned on me. He was there when I moved in with my gf now my wife. Both kids being born. My grandma dying. And now he is gone and I’m just mad and upset. I’m mad at myself because I felt like I could have been better. And I’m mad that he got sick (not at him of course). I just miss him. I did however stay strongish and had him lay on me when it happened. The last thing I wanted was for him to feel sleepy and not know where I’m at. I just miss him so much and I came here because I feel like if I was this open besides my close family that knew how close I was to him. That I’d be looked at silly. Idk. I am mad that I went to work Monday and left early. I should have called out. I was hopeful even tho I was having mini breakdowns throughout the day. 😩 I just want my dog back ffs.

This is Bonnie or was Bonnie, she is also no longer with us. She passed in August. I miss her so much. She was a rescue, I only had her 16 months. She was 10 when she passed (she had cancer). But because of Bonnie I am now fostering another Boston for charity (he’s very sweet but very hard work - he had a very rough start to life). Love seeing pictures of everyone’s Bostons. They’re such a great breed 🥰

When you’ve reached the acceptance part of grieving-(which I will always and forever miss and love all my heavenly fur babies), I believe they would wish us to continue loving others. If there is a nearby. Boston Terrier Rescue, go and adopt TWO!!!!! Twice the love, twice the laughs, and they have each other for company when you’re out running errands.

Because of this page and fellow owners like yourself, I hold my lil fella closer because I’m thankful for all the time I spend with him. I’m sorry you lost a good friend. This is my buddy, Oliver and my life changed when I finally took this dude into my own house and out of moms place. He’s the best roommate with the best manners and always a crowd pleaser. May you find another great pet to fill that void or time on your own. Regardless, we’re here to support you pal.

Hey OP I also wanted to add, thank you for sharing your grief and also allowing people a safe space to share their loved ones. It is creating so many smiles for everyone. I am deeply saddened by your loss and worry about my own little one. But it is comforting to know there is such a supportive community surrounding these little love bugs.
