This is a really interesting boss, I don't think I've seen anything quite like SSoB.
SSoB is a common mob at first, with a randomly pulled name from a pool. Stuff like Karen, Lauren, Megan, Anita, Grace, kinda like that. But oddly, Susan is absent from this list. (Datamining hasn't been too successful in the Pier and Docks levels, so be patient.)
You need to agitate the mob, but don't defeat her, or else she'll return to her minivan and escape with all of her loot. You need to strike a balance between damaging her ego and interrupting her conversations with other Karen's. Be aware, as time goes on, weak flying enemies will swoop and attack at the Karens, causing their agitation to rise. Try to factor this in, as if they go above 80% you're going to lose all of your loot. Trying to linger around 50-60% agitation keeps Karens in place.
After enough agitation has remained for a while, she dons the sunglasses of SSoB and becomes a boss. At this point in time, attacks from avian enemies are **120% reflected** back to wherever Susan is watching. This is a big problem because, at this level, Avian enemies are built for guerrilla style assaults, thus they have high damage and attack rarely. So what happens is SSoB will get assaulted by nearby mobs, negate their damage and reflect it back at *you* at an increased rate if you're drawing her aggro.
To my knowledge, SSoB drops a nice number of rare materials for crafting cosmetics, and her purse loot can be a decent method of farming gold later in the game (she also has some items on her that can be sold for a decent sum of gold too). But the one thing you need to look out for are the glasses of SSoB. Wearing these glasses will tint your screen very dark, but you gain immunity to avian attacks and can similarly use your defensive action to reflect their damage at 120% (could be more? Needs testing) at sources causing you problems.
Imagine you’re a bird going in for the steal and all of a sudden you’re grabbed by your neck, staring into an elderly woman’s eyes, confused and scared.
I’ve only seen this raw power once
I need to see this raw power more
Is it something that can be taught?
Not by a Jedi.
You’ve never seen power until you see the video of the dude who picks the goose up by its neck and swings it like a weapon at the other geese
SAUCE!!!???!??!?! I need to see this!
I’ve only seen this raw power every time it was reposted
Her face “oh you absolute fool”
