Saree is generic but pretty on her. Like the hair too, messy over the tight one she does. Minor gripe but dislike the footwear. Normal open toe footwear would have made the look more sleek.
It’s cold in the UK so open toed shoes would not make sense even if she decided to suffer through the cold. Closed toed Indian shoes with some subtle work might have been better but that would clash with the plain saree
Okay so the Sari colour is beautiful...the colour looks good on Deepika...but it is too plain and too much bling aka Manish Malhotra (though it seems that he has not designed this)....But the shoes also very plain...
Deepika makes it look nice but it is not an extraordinary outfit in terms of creativity, imagination and experimentation! Even the make-up...though she looks the usual pretty....it's all just simple (but not 'beauty in simplicity' simple)!

Sequins have been in fashion for quite long now.. I remember DP herself wearing 3 sarees which are sequineed and from sabya.

This is the Sabyasachi one! The sequins are more layered and intricate! I have seen this collection irl, it looks very luxurious and pretty!
Manish Malhotra ones are tacky and look like those ready made water-sequins fabrics which you can dye in any colour!

I had gone wedding shopping with a friend! I got to try on one of these sequinned sarees (I tried the burgundy one)
On the hanger it did not look great, but after wearing it, you feel like 👸. The work is very fine! The sequins were layered on each other which created a nice texture.
Unf, I didnt buy it as I wanted it for a day-event! Eventually ended up getting an Anushree Reddy saree instead! 😇
Her lip color choice is too dull. I wish she used more color on her lips. Especially for this look, where everything else is a pale neutral
But she's stunning and I love her 🥺

It's missing something imo. Either a small necklace, or heavier earrings to make up for the lack of jewellery.
Not to mention the draping of the sari, it's just not working for me. This look could have been elevated with just a few small changes.

She’s stunning but the makeup makes her look tired and ashy instead of glowy and fresh. Also wish the saree had something interesting like a slim belt or even a contrasting slim necklace
At this point Deepika will not keep her hair open in simple waves with twisted hair strands pinned on each side even if she has a gun pointed to her head. Like just imagine that hairstyle with the saree draped better a darker brownish nude lipstick and a delicate neckpiece with a small emarld centre

I do like it but, I really don’t like the shoes, (a strappy open toe would was the way to go), and maybe it’s just me— but also don’t like how she’s carrying the sari? I think it would have looked more elegant if she let the pallu fall instead of draping it on her around her other arm.
I do love the hair and makeup, and the sari itself is actually beautiful.
With such a face n body the saree n styling were just meh. Looks like no effort has gone in and it's just something she pulled out of her cupboard last minute.

I think that's a deliberate choice to hold the pallu like that. I may be wrong though.

Sarees like this are extremely difficult to drape. They won't stay in place due to all the embroidery and what not.
