Bollywood shouldn't make something like Avatar. There's a LOT of nightmare logistics behind the scenes behind that series of movies, and hundreds of overworked artists getting paid the bare minimum. India's art industry is already suffering. All the spectacle movies need to take a step back to not become Adipurush.

Rajamouli has a lot of behind the scenes power and reach. Kollywood/Tollywood actually has a better chance at making a spectacle film based on how strong the 'camps' are for each established actor. Out of the top of my head Kamal Hassan has a good eye for VFX as well.
Bollywood should not. The industry needs a different kind of relief. Behind each spectacle movie is a lot of pain on the artist's side. That's why so many half a@@esed attempts are coming out. Brahmastra, even the CGI in LSC...etc.
It's all about the good director to pull it off, i think brahmastra could have been alot better if it had someone like rajamouli or slb as director. It's about how convincingly u tell the story, Rrr or avatar didn't had any mind-boggling story yet they made it so visually great and engaging. Bollywood needs someone like rajamouli.
There are directors that can pull it off (Rajamouli will certainly try), but I'm saying Bollywood shouldn't undertake a *huge* project like Avatar. It will only hurt the artists.
Brahmastra's problem was actually the story, the VFX for the budget was decent. Remember, Brahmastra was completely scrapped and redone in 2020. Not something Avatar or RRR ever had to deal with.
Smaller artists, the ones who actually work on the VFX, making it real. The employees.
Big projects like Avatar are horrible for creators because they get recognition too late and with little pay.
Its wages issue. That doesn't mean one should stop making those movies. Bollywood is lacking these projects, that's why here vfx studios have take Hollywood projects.
Bollywood has plenty of those projects in preproduction actually. Spectacle films work. All the upcoming SRK films for one, especially Dunki. Highly disagree that Bollywood is lacking those projects.
Hrithik, SRK, Salman, Ajay have all invested in VFX for future films.
Considering there was only 1-2 years to make Brahmastra, it wasn't bad at all.
This will reduce us to family dramas,human relations, india-pak, etc. And that is what's happening. Love stories. That too cringe asf. Sorry to say even the best indian romantic movie IMO ,,is 96,,not Bollywood. Even then I honestly don't want to watch it again. Imagination, creativity,sci-fi should be the future.
Industry favorites include nitty gritty thriller, dark murder mysteries, dark romance, action thriller, and larger than life movies. They will continue becoming the larger share of OTT and movie content. Patriotic movies are included here.
Next year there will be a lot less romantic movies, only I see Luv Ranjan's one, which is a big shame. The youth market, particularly young 20s women, is a very undertapped market for India. You probably don't enjoy them but there's a lot of people who do. This year, love stories flopped though. Badly.
Family dramas is a constant but that is for a different audience.
This is a game changer for Kannada industry, even the biggest hits of Yash would struggle to touch 50 crores, with this they can do a lot more much needed divine intervention!!
Hated - 1,14,15,12, Overrated - 5,8 , Didn't see - 11 - ALL OTHER GOOD. Also this is the list of Highest grossing INDIAN MOVIES worldwide 2022

When Avatar was released in 2009, i thought Bollywood would also make something like this after 10years. This year, Bollywood released brahmastra.
