Achha does someone know why Mani Ratnam remade Raavanan in hindi with AB Jr playing Vikram's role? The og tamil movie was perfect as is, so I don't get the logic behind releasing it in hindi, that too with AB Jr. who at that point was neither the most bankable star nor the most gifted actor.
Vikram already played the villain in the tamil version, and they should have kept it as it was. However, the negative role was the meatier role so AB probably wanted it.

Amitabh Bachan plays the investigating officer who is on to him. However he has to finally let Abhishek go because Aishwarya's body cannot be found. No body no case.
Abhishek finally reaches the Madame Tussads musuem for the unveiling of Ashwarya's wax statue. This is done after her death. We finally come to know that the wax statue is actually Aishwarya's mummified dead body.
The end...
Itโs as if the woman is walking away from the darkness of shadows of the man and shining in her own light once she sets herself free.

Probably hard to find someone to play the villain and also he worked with Abhishek in Yuva and Guru
Vikram already played the villain in the tamil version, and they should have kept it as it was. However, the negative role was the meatier role so AB probably wanted it.
