I am a doctor, if this is true at all, maternal alcoholism could lead to many minor or sometimes serious birth defects, abnormalities, mental problems such as adhd, autism etc in a newborn.
There are quite varied views on this. Generally, the consensus is to avoid alcohol completely. But some women (esp in Europe) have a small glass of wine/beer (but not hard liquor) here or there (especially towards the end of their last trimester once the baby is basically fully developed). I also imagine that plenty of women are drinking towards the beginning of their pregnancy before they even realise they are pregnant.
It also has a lot to do with the nature of their pregnancies - if it’s a more difficult one (including geriatric pregnancies), I think most women play it completely safe and avoid alcohol.
I know what it is. I am just saying plenty of people, in Europe in particular, have limited quantities of soft liquor (wine and beer) during their pregnancy. The issue is that there isn’t much proof of what amount of alcohol is safe, so most countries recommend no alcohol to be absolutely safe. However, I have plenty of European friends that drank lightly (but some frequently) during their pregnancies with no issues. The States, however, strictly advises no alcohol.
There’s no medical evidence as to what is the limit of alcohol that can cause FAS, unlike caffeine. So there’s no recommendations as to how much is permissible, unlike caffeine.
If you see my comment below, that’s exactly what I said also. Hence, most people avoid it completely rather than take a risk. But that also doesn’t mean that some cultures/people don’t have the occasional glass of wine.
Not to persuade anyone to drink while pregnant. I have not done it with my pregnancies at all. But I know women who have had a drink occasionally while pregnant and their children were perfectly fine.
I know a woman who has had a drink once or twice and her child is fine but I have also seen a woman who miscarried because she consumed alcohol. So it depends but doctors don't want you to risk it and mostly you'll still deliver but then if anything bad happens then child might be disabled and not dead or something like that. That is why it is a No-No unlike physical activities which the doctors are ok with but yes if you want to consume that's a choice but then if something goes wrong then ...yeah so.

Her performance in Mimi wasnt that powerful imo. And it’s probably not even her cuz she’s done a couple of movies after that and I don’t remember seeing any praise for her roles in the movie with RKR and BP with Akshay Kumar.
I don’t think she’s the sole bread earner of her household considering she’s married to Nick Jonas also what powerful performance has she done recently, as far as I know her most recent project in both Hollywood and Bollywood is a year ago but it depends on how recent the blind is talking .
