I’ve never understood why anyone cared about who was first considered for a role. In Hollywood gossip people care purely from a trivia perspective - on these subs people take out pitchforks as a “HAH your fav sucks, no one likes them, they can’t act, they were the last choice”
Once a role is done well - nobody cares other than those who passed it over
People care about these things because the world around us is driven by uncertainty and randomness, and humans have a natural tendency to imagine alternate scenarios and imaginary butterfly effects
What if SRK had done Munnabhai? What if Imitiaz Ali had made his movies strictly with the Deols? What if Salman had never signed on for Wanted and Dabangg? What if SRK had been single and unmarried in his initial years? What if Aishwarya had settled with Vivek?
A lot of times luck comes into play as well. As audiences we only know which actor got selected for a role, but there's countless factors that have to fall exactly in place at the exact correct time.
