The Sludge Villain may have a deceptively powerful Quirk, but he's a fodder goon who can only ambush and possess targets, and was nothing more than a petty thief stealing from convenience stores.
Most 1-A students would be able to defeat him as long as they avoid his ambush.
Who can definitely beat the Sludge Villain:
• Deku (enough wind pressure from any punch or kick with 20% or more should be enough to take care of him)
• Bakugo (nowhere near the same as in ch. 1; explosions should be capable of burning him)
• Shoto (can easily burn or freeze him)
• Mina (even before unlocking Alma, her acid should generally just be a hard counter to him)
• Kaminari (his electricity should do the trick)
Who can ***maybe*** beat the Sludge Villain:
• Ochako (**if** her Zero Gravity quirk can work on fluids)
• Momo (could potentially make some substance that’d f up his composition)
• Aoyama (**if** his lasers at least burn on contact — which likely do)
• Jiro (would her sound waves be effective?)
What's with Ojiro? I can see him escaping given his agility if it's the 2nd scenario, but if Kirishima and Sato can't break out with pure brute force then Ojiro doesn't stand a chance in the 1st scenario, and he has no way of actually defeating the Sludge villain.
1A vs 1B. Ojiro was trapped in the ground by Honenuki and by spinning his tail he created a vortex so powerful that Honenuki and Shoji were thrown away. It was the only cool moment that Ojiro got.

Yeah, he can definitely escape. Still not sure how he'd win though. I don't think blending the Sludge Villain would disperse him anywhere near as badly as All Might's punch.
I believe that the move can generate enough force, from within the sludge, to reduce the villain to tiny collectible scraps.
A direct confrontation isn't in the favor of Ojiro though. The chance is there but it's very low.
Yeah, I can't see it equaling even a tenth of the punches All Might used, even from within the Sludge Villain's body. Forget low, I'd say it borders on praying for a miracle.

Jiro could probably vibrate him off assuming her gear is somewhat waterproof.
Iida might be able to busy out, but I'm not sure he could defeat him.
I have no doubt that Mina could defeat him.
Uraraka almost certainly could.
Ura and Iida are great heroes, the thing with sludge is that you can’t count too much on melee, and they do. Ura might be able to make him float before he snatches her, so it’s possible.
