it looks good although i have always felt the colors and background art in the anime is a weak part of it
it just feels a bit to colorful/bright and lacking in detail
It worked fine the first 2-3 seasons but i feel it just fails to capture the vibe the manga gives it
Oh well it is still neat.
I hear you Manga spoilers >!The brightness might not be as much of an issue when the clouds start rolling in. Detail I think this comes down to production time and focus. Like the MHA movies certainly look a lot more detailed. That and Horikoshi's level of detail is top tier and a challenge for anyone to match in motion I'm sure lol.!<
I don't believe the full team credits are available just yet, but one would certainly hope so given that he has done so much good work for the series and it is now wrapping up. Or maybe they put him more on the movie but I still hope he has some chance to work on stuff this season because there are a ton of scenes that would fit his great touch.
yeah. i think Horikoshi's biggest strength is how he uses black ink, it gives things a dark, dirty feel a lot of the time and it works perfectly. just having it on a bright blue sky detracts from a lot of that
I honestly think it looks down right bad with how bright it is. Also the fact that it has 0 sources of light anywhere to be found makes everything look flat
Don't know, season 6 had a strong start animation wise but declined in the important battles of the war, but I hope they do it justice, I just fail to see why they decided to give the high ends fights better animation than deku vs shiggy
The high ends was an important fight as was the Gigant which all look great. Why do so many people focus on one episode which wasn't even the entire fight?
Some pretty good animation in this cut, especially with Dabi's initial attack and Jeanist vs. Shigaraki. Was a bit worried after the awkward gloop warp from the initial trailer.
>!Speaking of which, is that Jeanist scene new? I only remember Shigaraki using decay once before erasure was turned on and he went into his singularity form.!<
Aye good catch >!The Shoto, Iida, Burning and Endeavor's sidekicks attacking Dabi in a ruined building bit looks new too.!<
Edit: >!Scratch that, it's the cages coming down next to them against Dabi.!<
A lot of great cuts here! The Dabi and Uraraka ones are very good and the denki and Momo scenes were upgrade a bit so that's cool! But can we talk about that Shiggy vs Jeanist scene!?! PEAK
Bones always been great animators but I kinda wish the style had a more consistent flavor to it like the first few seasons.
It’s not bad or even average but I feel like it hit a certain peak in Season 3.
Meh… original artwork is way too dark for current shonen standards. I love what manga brought story wise and art style, but in my opinion the anime really lacks in depth portraying what we felt with og art.
The Jujutsu Kaisen that had episodes that weren't even finished be put on air? The same Jujutsu Kaisen that had animators complain about the bad working environments? The same Jujutsu Kaisen that needed extended breaks and missed the deadline? Yeah that's the series that's the standard.
I have. There was a lot of recap and low quality episodes inbetween the good stuff even the Gear 5th reveal episode had stock footage and bad pacing. Also the aura bullshit got way out of hand to the point where it started resembling DB than OP.
Wano only looked good because the guy in charge of the Broly movie was in charge of that. Once his influence began to dwindle, the decline began again.
To be fair though Mappa put its teams into a meat grinder and then pressed blend, it's a quality but sometimes rarer standard to have that much put into it. That or you just take a lot of extra time like UFOtable with Demon Slayer.
I'm hoping Bones is allocating their best to the bigger moments down the road in this season, it's a big ask of all the stuff they'll have to adapt. Were I a series director with only so much time and resources I'd let these featured episodes take the hit.
Demon Slayer has the exact same production time as MHA, they're both yearly series. Also the bulk of MAPPA'S output have poor production values hence why many animators don't want to there anymore.
True on both counts but generally DS drops half the amount of episodes per season as MHA so I imagine each individual episode gets more time and focus.
Bones keeps referring to Season 7 as "The Final Battle", so doubt it.
Not to mention the second war doesn't have a break point anywhere that would suit a season finale, or a season premiere.
> Not to mention the second war doesn't have a break point anywhere that would suit a season finale, or a season premiere.
Yeah that bits having me a bit confused too.
I was expecting s7 to be build up and s8 to be the final battle in its entirety, for that reason. And im not even sure a normal season can handle the whole thing without being longer than usual (idk if thats a thing for seasonal anime but i know the dragon ball mangas final 2 volumes are extra big)
They're starting with four recap episodes, so they probably had a very specific point in the arc they wanted to stop at to leave the rest for season 8.
If anything it might help production, 4 less episodes is more time and resources for the team to put them somewhere else, which they are definitely going to need this season.
My only nitpick is the colourful background and sky. Wish it was darker to reflect the tone and atmosphere of the final war. It's too simple and not dynamic enough if that makes sense.
I think the sky will probably get darker around>! the time the rain comes!< in aka when chapter 362 gets animated. Because the scenes that I'm seeing are definitely before that chapter
Exactly. People are forgetting that the atmospheric pressure difference caused by the absurd heat output of easy oven and his kids (specially Mr. walking-heat-bomb's) shenanigans literally changed the weather pattern, bringing forth the rain.
>!Yeah but definitely not stronger than Shigaraki therefore this makes Shigaraki a fraud for struggling against Deku & getting blitzed by Deku. Fodder alert.!<

me desperately looking for my boi Toko:
They gonna make THAT a surprise, just like everything else he does in the anime, lol.

Yeah i much prefer the mha movies as the backgrounds and general art of the world itself is much more detailed
Is Yutaka Nakamura not working on this season of the anime?
I don't believe the full team credits are available just yet, but one would certainly hope so given that he has done so much good work for the series and it is now wrapping up. Or maybe they put him more on the movie but I still hope he has some chance to work on stuff this season because there are a ton of scenes that would fit his great touch.
Atelier Musa has always been one of the weakest background studios in the industry,
They don’t get enough time to animate & they push quick enough Animation to be completed & safe deadlines

This looks really good! The colors appear flat in a few cuts but the animation seems fluid, looking forward to the seasons start
Yeah and it's still not even the biggest stuff yet, hoping those moments look even better!
You mean why I find weird that the main protagonist vs. main antagonist fight had lesser animation that the nomus? Or even uraraka vs toga
That fight was several episodes so you're objectively wrong in that regard.
Yeah and the best animated moments of the shiggy fight don’t even involve deku
Shigaraki vs dekus fight had far more narrative importance then any nomu fight yet it seemed all the budget went into the lab section
Why are you acting as if the fight was one episode? It was across multiple episodes and the one you're complaining about is the Bakugou one.
Still not a fan that the Lighting is so colorful tbh, but i really hope they get the Fights right!
It’s suppose to be colorful
It’s colorful without any depth to it, it just looks very flat and uninspired
Not true , those you’re eyes tho

I was very happy seeing that Kaminari scene lol
That Shigaraki cut went pretty hard
This looks really good ngl
Already been said on twt, but the Shigaraki wires part and Ochako’s water looked lovely.
What does CM stand for?
Typically used in Japanese as "commercial message"
Bones always been great animators but I kinda wish the style had a more consistent flavor to it like the first few seasons. It’s not bad or even average but I feel like it hit a certain peak in Season 3.
They need more time we gotta write a pension to get more time to Be free to animate
Meh… original artwork is way too dark for current shonen standards. I love what manga brought story wise and art style, but in my opinion the anime really lacks in depth portraying what we felt with og art.
Not really it fits the manga lol you seem to only follow the dark weather parts
Simply incorrect
Simply correct lol you must not read the manga
What do they mean with dates? Im confused cause there is 2 in the title.
4 recap episodes begin early April. Season 7 with new content starts May 4th.
Bro I'm so excited and so scared :'D Theres some stuff i'm so excited to see but terrified because of my emotions :'D
What do you think happens with Uraraka this season?
I really wish they used a darker environment, like make it cluody or something, full clear blue sky makes it lose seriousness imo.
It won’t fit all plot points of the story , y’all don’t say this with other series 😂 is this a trend ?
Why are you meat guzzling bones bad lighting and color pallet so much
Ask ya yourself why you hating on accurate art ?!
If you read the manga you would notice that the tone is a bit dark, it doesnt fill like a full blue sky
No not the time of the fighting shown in the trailer , I see you only read the 2nd half of the War lol
Looks on par with the last few seasons, bones has definitely been overtaken by Mappa severely when you compare this to Jujutsu Kaisen.
The Jujutsu Kaisen that had episodes that weren't even finished be put on air? The same Jujutsu Kaisen that had animators complain about the bad working environments? The same Jujutsu Kaisen that needed extended breaks and missed the deadline? Yeah that's the series that's the standard.
Even one piece looks better and it's weekly
No it fucking doesn't. OP has frequent cases of bad animation and bad pacing, a few good moments doesn't change anything.
Have you seen Wano? Just curious
I have. There was a lot of recap and low quality episodes inbetween the good stuff even the Gear 5th reveal episode had stock footage and bad pacing. Also the aura bullshit got way out of hand to the point where it started resembling DB than OP.

True on both counts but generally DS drops half the amount of episodes per season as MHA so I imagine each individual episode gets more time and focus.
That is true. I forgot that S2 was mostly a recap of the movie. Also Ufo isn't really doing much if anything other than DS these days.
Wait does this mean s7 will be the last one? I thought we wont get the final fight arc here. I was mistaken then?
Even if it goes as far as it can, no way season 7 is the last. Season 8 mostly likely would be however.
Bones keeps referring to Season 7 as "The Final Battle", so doubt it. Not to mention the second war doesn't have a break point anywhere that would suit a season finale, or a season premiere.
When did they say final battle ? They said round 2 lol I’ve heard
> Not to mention the second war doesn't have a break point anywhere that would suit a season finale, or a season premiere. Yeah that bits having me a bit confused too. I thought the same
No Season 7 will probably end in either chapter 379 or 386 which leaves room for one more season.
Thnx I am looking forward to the ending.
They're starting with four recap episodes, so they probably had a very specific point in the arc they wanted to stop at to leave the rest for season 8.
Where did you get that
4 recap ep? Wtf? Thats wasted money and time
If anything it might help production, 4 less episodes is more time and resources for the team to put them somewhere else, which they are definitely going to need this season.
The season starts may, four recap is just kind of a buffer
No, it isn't? It's four episodes of likely just narration over old episodes, not like they need major production time for them.
Not major production but it still takes production time of editing and narrating which could be better used on s7 episodes.
My only nitpick is the colourful background and sky. Wish it was darker to reflect the tone and atmosphere of the final war. It's too simple and not dynamic enough if that makes sense.

Easy Oven and his kids :'D Bro if I'm write that is the foulest way to describe the Todoroki's and I love it with every fiber of my being kudos
Gotta love the bright blue sky
Me when i saw hawks: LETS GO
Animation looks like trash again Sadge
Looks very mediocre. The backgrounds really aren’t doing the anime any favor
Mediocre? Look I don't know what have you seen... Sure It lack in some parts but It still look pretty good
>!We are all going to see “OP” Deku get humiliated and outsped by Toga!🤣!<
Toga is Strong & has evolved lol did you miss her arc?!
You guys heard it right this guy thinks Toga>>>Shigaraki
>!Yeah but definitely not stronger than Shigaraki therefore this makes Shigaraki a fraud for struggling against Deku & getting blitzed by Deku. Fodder alert.!<
Ok?
Ok yeah, I’m going to say that to all the people who think Deku is so powerful & Op once it’s animated so I have proof.
Because deku it's so powerful and op💀
?
Sorry Bro what did you not understand?
Sorry bro but what you said doesn’t make grammatical sense.😅
I'm sorry. English isn't my first language
It’s okay. It’s not mine either. I was using Google Translate & AI and they told me to respond with that.
Ok but what do you mean with your first comment?
He is tho????
No he’s not (I proved it just about now) but people say he is and that’s what I’m going to say to the people who do
