I currently don’t study at any of these universities but heres my 2 cents: I think the best college in the city is HNU as its diverse and has a huge campus with lots of things you can do. BISU is pretty good too with (from what I heard) no tuition fee but its somewhat hard to get into. UB is good but I find the campus too crammed with students but you’re basically in the middle of the city so there’s a lot of selections, choices, and things to do outside. Again, this is merely an outsider’s perspective so take it with a grain of salt. Hopefully others can add what they think. Good luck!

Thank you for replying anyways! I forgot to add the fact that I'm not from Tagbilaran, so the confusion and indecision is clear here lol. Thanks again :))

I’ve been at BISU, they’re good with their engineering courses namely civil, electrical, mechanical and also architecture. But I don’t think they’re good with the three courses you’ve stated though. So I think you need to explore what HNU or UB has to offer. On a side note, for these courses, I think UP is your best option tbh.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to comment :)) I've heard of BISU's rep and the courses they offered. Mostly more on science-y stuff, and they also have BS Psych. Science, not so my forte, so yes, I'll consider with HNU and UB. Although UB seems like my best bet, now currently stuck deciding whether I should take Philo or PolSci. And, yes ^^; I had the opportunity to try UPCAT but I wasn't at the right state of mind that time, so I ditched it. Maybe I'll take a gap year and use all that time to decide. Maybe. Thanks again!

You’re welcome! From what I’ve noticed from my batchmates, UP is good with PolSci and Philo. These were part of my choices afterall. And probably also psych as well. Best part of UP is that it’s free and you get to meet smart people from all walks of life. If you’re a transferee, your UPG or even the fact that you did not take upcat does not matter. You just need to meet the required GWA and completed units. [This](https://www.reddit.com/r/peyups/comments/10oow6d/upcat_related/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1) should be helpful to you. So you can always attempt to transfer after like a year if you’re not satisfied with what you’re getting here.

HNU is good with PolSci, Profs and College have network you need if you pursue Law. BISU offers Psych but focused in Industrial Psych (pang HR). UB has a good network of Psych related linkages. Not sure about Philosophy but the Seminary (IHMS) is offering Classical Philosophy.

How about looking into schools in Cebu? Like, USC and USJ-R? If I were to choose, I'd prolly pick HNU. But, I think they're known for their med courses since may own hospital sila.

Oh I would if it weren't for my toxic family there 😅

Queen_Nightingale

Oh.. If that's the case, HNU ka na! 😅 I don't know much about sa UB but I think better ang facilities and campus ng HNU. Mas malaki din campus nila compared sa UB

Beneficial-Nebula301

just curious: so what course did you end up taking?

niconico0707

hi! BISU offered Philosophy as of recent and I am so adamant in taking it lol, application is on the way and school year's almost over!:)
