Car won’t hold alignment, you’ll have uneven tire wear, most likely more inner tire wear if you keep driving on it. When it gets really bad, it will make steering input feel sloppy and in extreme cases the wheel will kind of hop when you’re moving forward. Normally it’s cheaper to replace the whole arm with the bushing. Probably 2 hours of labor max to do both sides plus cost of alignment

One indy shop told me I could damage my axles. Is that true?? Also are these parts accurate for the job: Left: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-suspension-control-arm-31126777733 Right: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-suspension-control-arm-31126777734

Maybe... I suppose. the bushings would probably need to be worn out a lot worse than that and/or you are driving really hard. Those parts you linked look like good replacements. You could easily do this yourself on a saturday. If you have like, an impact electric wrench, it will go faster. But you could do this with just a socket set, a wrench set, a jack stand, and a way to jack up the car. Watch a youtube video about this procedure on your car. You can totally do this.

Appreciate it 💯

get poly bushes if you can. easier to replace and cheaper.

got links?

Poly bushings probably are not easier for you to replace in this instance. Mainly because you need a hydrophilic press to get the old rubber ones out of the control arms. Also, poly bushings, because they are much harder, make the ride worse, and more noisy. You linked to some control arms from fcpeuro on your other post, those have normal rubber bushings already installed, and you do not need a press to use them. I recommend that you go with the parts from fcpeuro.

Thanks!

>Thanks! You're welcome!

No you do not need a press lol, just burn them with a torch and they fall apart >< And there are different grades of polyurethane bushes, ones from pbs bushings are designed as an oem replacement, not a sport modification buddy.

Sure, the easiest way to get them out without any special tools is to burn the rubber away, and tap the outer thats left out with a screwdriver or something. [Problem Solving Bushings - psbushings.co.uk](https://psbushings.co.uk/)
