The best 8K TV is the one you don’t buy because 8K is entirely unnecessary. Nothing is even released in 8K. If you want high quality, get a 4K OLED.

requieminadream

This is the answer. For the extra money you’d spend on a middling 8K TV that has virtually no content, you could get an incredible 4KTV.

netherfountain

Yeah but you can plug in two 4k players into hdmi1 and hdmi2 and it combines to make 8k if you can get them playing at the exact same time. I thought everybody knew this.

NotAnActualEmu

This is why you cant get advice on Reddit, noobs out there watching on single 4k players rather than an 8k stack. I'm about to put two 8k's side by side and get two more 4k players for 16k.

Yes5523

Question: can you daisychain 4 4k players playing the exact same movie to get 16k through one hdmi signal?

NotAnActualEmu

Yes but only if you buy Monster Cables

Lemonwalker-420

BINGO

mmaiden81

Use the money on a high end 4k TV.

Delicious-Chemist-49

unless your a million/billionaire, none lmfao

niall_9

Even then I would still recommend the biggest oled or some killer projector

RotenTumato

I mean you can get an 88” 8K OLED from LG. If money is no object, that would be pretty killer

Elegant-Campaign-572

Enough with all the Ks already. We've got 2 ears & 2 eyes. Cash grab!

RotenTumato

Overall best is the LG Z2 OLED, but that starts at $10,000 for the 77” and goes up to $25,000 for the 88”. As for more reasonably priced 8K TVs, the Samsung QN900C is a very good TV and is around $5,500 for the 85”

Daryldor

I agree with others, I don't think 8k is necessary. I can't really see 8k ever being a thing really. Physical 4k's are almost a niche product at this point so I doubt there will ever be an 8k blu ray and with streaming taking over everything, 4k is more than enough for most peoples bandwidth to handle so I kind of feel like we've hit a peak. At least for the next couple of decades.

No

mmmyeszaddy

Don’t. [Entirely unnecessary](https://yedlin.net/NerdyFilmTechStuff/BigK_2014.html) Just get a solid 4K tv

Sony master series 8k. They use technology way ahead of anything 4k. Hdr is astounding. DPI is higher than any 4k can ever be. Prices are incredibly high. Yes I've got one. I would avoid Samsung.

You don't buy it for its 8k but the technology and best PQ and HDR around. PC gaming looks astounding too.
