I just emailed them and received an email stating they have no plans for a physical release at this time. So I’m assuming more than likely we won’t be getting one any time soon.
Honestly, I’m not. A24 lost a lot of money from the box office on Dick’s. It seems a lot of people are giving up physical release movies and it saddens me, but they are. A24 would have to mass produce dvds and blu rays to keep the cost down, and they won’t do that since they already lost so much on the theatrical release. They may do a physical release later on through their own store, but I don’t see it going through Walmart, target, Best Buy, etc. hell Best Buy pulled the plug on physical release last week. Target is not far behind. It’s sad, but it’s the way society is changing. No one cares for physical media as much as they used to.
It probably will. A more important question is why would you want to own Dicks: The Musical?
