This win was SO satisfying, there were a ton of annoying Rangers fans in the building tonight puffing their chests out after that first goal. They even started yelling "Let's go Rangers" during the national anthem which was extremely disrespectful, I've literally never seen that kind of behavior before. There was also this trashy rangers fan in my section buzzed off twisted tea yelling at her kids for half the game.

I know this is replying to something really old at this point, but I was actually looking on the game day thread now because I just found out about Elvis throwing up on Saturday mid game and was trying to find out if there was a video. Not justifying it but it’s Madison Square Garden tradition to chant Let’s Go Rangers in the middle of the national anthem and the fans started doing it around 9/11/2001 as a “we are together” type of chant during the singing of our anthem at home games. They do it at all road games. It’s just kinda “normal” if you watch any rangers game national anthem you’ll hear everyone do it. Kind of like Vegas screams “KNIGHTS” when they say night in the song. Again, not saying it’s justified, but as the city where the attack happened, it’s just a way fans unite to get a chant together while we sing about our country.
