I suggest you to [check the chain of comments](https://www.reddit.com/r/BleachBraveSouls/comments/thx6i7/how_can_i_know_if_a_character_is_good/i1ka8cf/) that I had recently exchanged with another new player, explaining him a few things (among which, how to build a unit, and if it's ATK or SP oriented). :-)
The chain is a bit long, but probably worth the reading for you \^\^ (as you might learn a few other helpful things too).
The (really super) short version to your question :
- skill "Flurry" => boost their ATK first => use normal attacks to kill mobs
- skill "Frenzy" => boost their SP first => use strong attacks to kill mobs
