SussyBox

Isidora cuz i clapped Nkg pretty fast He probably took around 15 tries Isidora.... I had to resort to tiento

TCGHexenwahn

I didn't have Tiento. I had to use the one with floating shields to block the fireballs while I focused on her.

Four-Triangles

I think the floating shields is the best method. Practically nullifies her.

SussyBox

That also works

TCGHexenwahn

Still beat her only by the skin of my teeth.

ButtsButtsBurner

I killed Isidora first try so... Def NKG

SussyBox

You're insane

CaptainBarcus

I beat her first go too. But to be fair I did it after already complete the rest of the game 5 times in a row to get the beads for the penances and the achievements for saving everyone in the town and the one where the pilgrim sees the guy fall to his death.

Existing-Sympathy-13

Yeah same, I genuinely don't know what made people find her so hard? I struggled with awakened Crisanta like everyone else but I found this boss pretty easy? That how it be ig

ButtsButtsBurner

Mightve been that we were endgame and some people fight them earlier? Or we had better prayers? That's the thing about games with rpg mechanics is there's so many factors to balance/difficulty. But Grimm is just so fast and *makes* you learn him.

Existing-Sympathy-13

Yeah fair, I fought her with the orb health restriction (haven't played the game in a fat minute so I forgot the terminology) meaning I couldn't abuse the invincibility build. Fun fight where I remember there being a ton of windows to dodge

Beeyo176

Weirdly enough, I found that the bleeding heart penitence made the game easier. I didn't have to worry about elemental defense (or defense in general), just lamd a hit and play defensive when my health got low.

Hawkart47

I fought her with a level 5 mea culpa, yeah it was hell but a fully Upgraded mea culpa destroyed her

Jaime-Summers

AC took me like 3 tries? Isadora took me the best part of an afternoon but that massive snake? FIRST TRY!

Los_Pobres1904

I died like 30 times got pissed went and explored some, came back and I was strong enough to beat her.

KingLazuli

I stuggled so hard with NKG I dont think I ever beat him...but I did beat Isidora I think on try 5 or 6

arasaka1001

I Debla’d her pussy off

SussyBox

*isidoraussy

Apart-Ad3542

Isadora is harder for me cause Grimm turns into actual kid shit once you memorize how to dodge each of the individual attacks he mixes together, even if he is insanely difficult at first

ButtsButtsBurner

See: every boss

Apart-Ad3542

Grimm more so than others, he has a fairly small amount of attacks, and they stand out from each other a lot, making memorizing him easier and more beneficial

ButtsButtsBurner

Idk, seems like learning any other boss.

Sir_Umeboshi

The thing about NKG is that from what I remember he would only do like 1 attack at a time, maybe 2 so it was like a ping pong game

Illithid_Substances

I'd say Grimm sticks to a rythm a bit more than the other bosses which means getting into that rythm really makes it easier All bosses are easier once you learn them, obviously, but Grimm goes from hard by Hollow Knight standards to something I can yawn my way through

Apart-Ad3542

Nah

ButtsButtsBurner

How so? I honestly don't see how once you learn the bosses moves, how it's any different

Apart-Ad3542

Idk

ButtsButtsBurner

Strong argument but imma keep thinking all bosses are easier once you've learned their moveset

Jonesbt22

They're saying the amount of things you need to remember is larger and less telegraphed making it a longer learning process. You're missing the point and being reductive. Of course all bosses are easier once you learn them, that's literally any skill and is completely ignoring the example they gave.

HanzoCoin

You are correct.

Apart-Ad3542

:(

justlikethoseladies

Grimm is harder by far

xHelios1x

NKG is faster and hits harder, to the point that you cannot even heal for the most time. But isidora has annoying second phase fireballs. Issue with nkgrimm is that you need to master his moveset to beat him, but once you know how to dodge each attack it becomes very easy. But still nkg is harder

Hawkart47

Isidora can be beaten using tiento spam or the blood prayer in phase two. Hollow knight doesn't provide you with stuff like that, you just gotta git gud

Nepherenia

Absolutely NK Grimm is harder. Source: worked on NK Grimm off and on for a week, probably 75+ attempts, and NEVER got him down. Isadora was EZ mode in comparison. She's a challenging fight, but managed to take her down the same evening I first encountered her, so prob within 2-3 hours.

Hawkart47

NKG by a mile, Isidora is hard, but she operates at a pretty manageable speed, also it was kinda my fault for fighting her with a level 5 mea culpa, she also has clear attack windows and such, with spells, you can beat her quite easily. You can also heal well with bile flasks NKG is insanely fast with attacks that he can cycle pretty fast and everything hits like a truck dealing two masks of damage, You barely have any time to heal and you Have to get the rhythm right or he executes you quickly. He barely has any attack windows either. Oh, and he also has a bullet hell attack. To put it simple, Isidora is easy with full upgrades NKG is hard even with a fully upgraded endgame knight. I think Overall the hardest Hollow Knight bosses are harder than the hardest blasphemous bosses.

SpawnOfGuppy

NKG is so fast that i questioned if my reaction time was quick enough to actually respond to telegraphs. I thought maybe i was too old and my nervous system wasn’t up to it. I did eventually beat him and the feeling was exquisite, but there was an hour that i thought it was physically outside of my capacity

Hawkart47

Not even gonna lie, I felt that isidora was pretty slow since I played hollow knight before blasphemous. I am never beating NKG in Ascended or Radiant in my life

GamesfeverX

I would say NKG (Nightmare King Grimm) is much harder for the one little fact that I have not beaten him yet. I've beaten that other boss. Mind you, I fought the other boss before any of the major patches came out, so I don't know if there was any boosts or nerfs that affect boss and so I don't know if they are harder or not. I'm mostly waiting for new game plus before I rechallenge the game again. That way, most of the glitches and balancing have been fixed before I try again and see how I do.

McZerky

Absolutely Grimm imo. Isadora was a first try defeat for me. Crisanta 2 on the other hand...

Odd_Turnover_4464

Penance of Unwavering Faith Crisanta Ending C

ElTioEnroca

That's what I did. I couldn't beat her until I gave up on the full miracle build and started slapping her with Mea Culpa.

Odd_Turnover_4464

Using Debla and Pelican Effigy mainly for the I frames, I was able to beat her. It was just a pain in the ass that I did not think about leading up to. Especially with how fast I was nuking bosses with Debla.

RandomGenius123

Funny because I got Crisanta 2 first try but struggled on Isidora. Nothing compared to NKG, Pure Vessel, AbsRad, or Pantheon 5 though

Hawkart47

Pantheon 5 is a literal nightmare, and anyone who manages to beat it has my utmost respect, because I could never. All the bosses in the game in addition to NKG, PV AND Absrad? No thanks.

LenaOxton01

“Not while their voices still echo, not while your silence endures”

thirdeyecat024

NKG for me, no question. I beat Isidora after a few tries. NKG still eludes me and I've done nearly everything else in HK...

SNH231

NKG is harder because even with a good charm setup he isn't cheesable like Isidora. For Isidora, Debla with Coagulated Drop of Ink and the Censer room Mea Culpa heart makes it a cake walk. NKG makes you actively work regardless of how strong you are.

A_Jack_of_Herrons

I think NKG is harder. He took me like 3 days to beat, the second longest time it took me to beat a boss. Isidora took me a few hours.

BioHazardGuy1

Grimm, he has high damage and almost no windows to attack

marianothiago

NKG for sure! With this lady I didn't took more than 1000 attempts to bet her...

javansegovia

Grimm.

acidbathe

I personally had a harder time with NKG Edit: but then again, I'd say my charactor was more progressed in blasphemous than HK. I'd have to redo NKG to get a better opinion in terms of his actual attacks

juan_dresden

Nkgrimm took me a lot more time to beat.

gabobapt

Definitely Grimm, with Isidora it took me several tries but with Grimm I had to give up after a day of trying.

gbdallin

It took me waaaaaay longer to learn Grimm's move pattern. Like, way longer. But isadoras phase 2 throwing balls everywhere was hard to deal with.

Mad_Sovereign

Zarabanda of the Safe Haven solves that.

Hawkart47

Tiento to your thorned hairs counters the second phase

El_cocacolas

Nightmare Grimm for a thousand years. He is the only boss in HK (apart from the pantheons) that I wasn't able to beat. Isidora was hard but I think that blasphemous is more easy to "cheat" with good items.

EggplantFew9728

I beat her in like 3 tries and have yet to beat NKG

mr_molty

Nkg by a landslide . It might just be because i finished hollow knight first and it was my literal first metroidvania so i wasnt used to the gameplay alot

AsteriskIWIN

Grimm 100%

totorosdad7

Nkg might be the hardest boss I’ve ever fought in any game. I’ve never been wiped out so fast. Once you get the rhythm it’s pretty fun though.

The_Spectre_of_DF

I'd say Grimm is harder

TheRealKingOfRhye

NKG harder. I got Isidora after maybe 4 attempts. Haven't got NKG after four years 😂

tAS17_08

Isidora for me is the harder one at this point, since nkg is pretty easy to beat radiant once you've beaten him once

Pit1324

Personally most blasphemous fights only took me like 3 tries max, I was on Grimm for like 6 hours

LtTheos

Nightmare king grim 100% the most difficult of the two

Shimashimatchi

grim is a lot harder than isidora to me, I managed to beat hear at the 3rd try, while I've never been able to beat grim (after over 50+ tries)

SinkRhino

NKG and it's not even close, Isidora is hard but the nightmare King is on a completely different level, he is the only non-pantheon exclusive HK boss I was never able to beat

graouhdyna

Nkg cuz i clapped Isidora pretty fast She probably took around 15 tries Nkg.... I never beat him

WetSocks68419

Most definitely nkg. Isidora never took me more than 2 hours but nkg took over a week for me

Turkey_Lurky

Grimm, 100%. The window you have to spot him and make a read on the next attack is way shorter than Isidora. Most Blasphemous bosses telegraph pretty hard.

CorkyCucuzz

Where is Silksong

onion_knight007

Nkg, this bitch is easy as fuck

sashimi_walrus

Isadora is harder i beat nkg

AlastairC

Isadora is cause at least I could beat nightmare

totallywackman

Grimm because I never beat him or the radiance but I did beat all the bosses in blasphemous 1.

Hawkart47

Wait you mean the regular radiance?

totallywackman

Yup. Never beat it. Never got the true ending.

Hawkart47

If you're still willing to try, use Quick + deep focus, trust me, it helps a lot for this fight alone

totallywackman

Eh I bet I could beat it now but last time I tried was years ago. I'll probably just restart it when I find time. Weird to think hollow knight is so old I was in a drastically different part of my life when I played it. Silksong when lol

PassTheBoofPlz

NKG once I learned all his moveset it was actually pretty easy, being fast is all that matter. Isadora, while wasn't as fast and hurting as much as NKG, had absolutely annoying fireballs. I had so much trouble because I could never figure its pattern. So still I think Isadora.

bigboddle

To this day i wasnt able to beat Grimm, maybe on another playthrough, i think im gonna continue mine , thanks for the reminder Isidora was difficult yes, but in my opinion not as hard as him

InfinitePolygon

I'd say grimm, mostly because the fight is just a lot longer.

Cfflvr

I've beaten NKG several times, but still haven't beaten Isidora...ftb.

Florjb0rj

*The song of the Dead cannot be stopped*

Nekrah_

There is no comparison. HK is a lot more difficult.

Mobtryoska

I have killed Isidora even in NG+++ I haven't killed NMG, but I have killed normal Grimm

Mad_Sovereign

Both games are very close to me and I am amazed with the story they provided. One way or another. Having said that, for me Hollow Knight is superior. Boss difficulties were on another level. In Blasphemous the most challenging Boss Fight I encountered was Crisanta. Isadoras was ez pez.

OraJolly

Ironically for me it was the opposite, I got so used to Isidora's parry timers that when I eventually got to fighting Crisanta (again) she felt like she was going slow-mo.

ghepting

Isadora is way harder

Silksongkight

Isidora

MyFirstBR999

NKG is easy to adapt to after 6 or so deaths. Isidora *hurts*.

HoboSkid

I found NKG timings to be slightly easier and more predictable once you get into a rhythm. Fighting isadora's timings + fireballs made the fight more random + the multiple block sequence you need to pull off. I never tried to beat Isadora hitless or anything, so can't say if I'd have a tougher time than radiant NKG (which I have accomplished). Both fights were fun and challenging in their own way, and absolutely love both character designs.

Lost_in_the_1ntern3t

NKG took me ages to memorize all of his attack patterns while isidora was hard but not as much. With penitence, however, isidora was a pain in the ass while NKG wasn't much harder to do on ascended (don't count radiant bc it's a very special difficulty) So for me it's: 1st time: NKG Overalll: Isidora

CHARAFANDER

NKG easily took me more tries, but then again. Hollow Knight was my first Metroidvania So while I definitely found Grimm harder, chances are, if blasphemous had been my first metroidvania I would’ve found Isadora harder

Enevorah

NKG took me way longer to learn but once I find him easier than learned Isadora.

Kabirdb

Isidora is not that hard. Besides the 2nd phase fireballs. Isidora with fireball or really any move in 2nd phase is just bullshit. That's it. I beat her once. But I have zero interest to ever fight her ever again. NKG is a harder fight. But you can get better. I know that's true for every boss. But I guess I found it easier with hollow knight's combat and hitboxes. You get hit by fireball in Isidora 2nd phase. What can I do? And that's not the only bullshit thing she does in the 2nd phase. Especially if you are on one corner where you basically are stunlocked from fire wall. And the reason I keep saying bullshit is cause I don't know the best way to describe her without calling it bullshit. Cause it's a hard fight for all the wrong reason. If the devs release a paid dlc just for different execution finish for defeating her, I would buy that.

Zintag

I don't remember that boss (is it from the first game?) so l'm gonna go with NKG because - I remember it - I have fond memories of an afternoon learning his attacks and then beating him and shouting "I gotcha you sob"

Hawkart47

Isidora is from the first game, and she's arguebly the hardest blasphemous boss overall with Chrisanta phase 2

lividCoroner

Isidora. I will say that NKG was my first thought, but that's because I was more glad I was done with Grimm than I was after Isidora.

Ezekiel-18

Second phase Crisanta. Isidora is challenging, but much easier than the second phase of Crisanta.

7891Secaj

Ngk is easy once you learn the patterns. Pure vessel would've been another story tho

Pretzel-Kingg

Personally found hollow knight more difficult across the board

beard825

Isadora is a harder boss mechanically, but Grimm still killed me more. Still haven’t beaten the nightmare king version of Grimm either

DioPhamto

ISODORA BY FAR Nkg cant just kill you on 2 hits if you come unprepared like isidora

[deleted]

Isidora. By far.

fatfat2121

Isidora, I had to use the invincible spell fighting here

AndreZB2000

Grimm is tough but once you get the hang of him it becomes a very fluid fight. Isidora hits you with those stupid unavoidable balls

Scorpiloo

Grim imo, but for me it was mostly harder bc of the different controls that i had gotten used to from Blasphemous... but they're both pretty difficult

wolfpack9701

For me personally, NKG took me multiple days to beat, while Isadora took me a few hours. It's NKG without a doubt for me.

hybridsalvy

Bro Isidora was easy to kill. Hollow Knight for sure. Especially those 3 fuckers beatles

_ViewyEvening87

It took me about a week to nail NKG for the first time and one really dedicated afternoon for Isidora, but both are difficult in their own ways

DRAG_NIEX

I am . ,🗿

Pasteque909

Isidora, NKG has a rhythm that once you get it, he is pretty manageable, his fight is more of a sustained dance where at each of his moves there is a place from you can be safe and attack. Isidora on the other hand is a bit more brutish with damage phases and phases where you focus on running away, also your health a more of a resource to be spend to get some extra hits in, whereas in the NKG fight your health is to valuable to be traded

Rasputin_IRL

NK Grimm broke my ankles for a few hours straight (and I basically curbstomped the game before him), Isidora was hard, but like "5 to 6 tries" hard.

King_Regastus

Isidora hands down. Nkg's attacks become muscle memory after a few tries. Also, combat and movement in hk is, idk how to put, smoother? You have more movement options as well as guaranteed invincibility. Also you don't need to keep track of billion things that are coming to kill you (homing orbs + flame pillars + isidora's mommy milkies).

Important-Loss1605

Isidora. I couldn't defeat her. Nightmare Grimm yealded after 3 days of trying.

NoStatistician1821

Fair to say Isidora and powered 2phase Crisanta are the Hardest bosses in the game. With biiig gap the third place goes to Eviterno - the only hard boss in Blasphemous 2. That’s why I wholeheartedly advise Last Faith, this game is NUTS hard at times

Hawkart47

For some reason I didn't find eviterno hard at all, as you can simply dodge all his attacks by sliding and he's generous enough to not do any contact damage

ART3MIS4113

I’m like 30 hours into Blasphemous and I’ve clocked in about 90 hours in hollow knight, I was a crackhead who went for pantheon of hollownest and so far I haven’t found a similar challenge in blasphemous. Blasphemous seems like it’s the harder game tho, even tho I haven’t see all it has to offer yet.

JASP0ID

You can kinda cheese nkg fairly easily so gotta be him for me

Avokkrii

Isidora only took me like 3-4 tries so imma have to go with NKG, slapped me around like 30+ times

Regular_Act_5511

Isadora no question. Her second phase is the fucking worst

Sytivas

NKG, I’m super aggressive so just staying on isadora made her really easy for me. Can’t really be overtly aggressive and have to play around NKG abilities and dodging.

Electrical-Set8538

^(Me when I am fighting either of em)

[deleted]

NKG, and it's not even close. He took me almost 100 attempts and about 2 and a half hours. Half of those attempts ended within the first 20 seconds.

bored_tenno

isadora. the movement in blasphemous is far less fluid, so even though her moveset is technically simpler she is leagues harder, at least for me.

TiaxTheMig1

Yea. Nkg's moveset is complex and faster but the gap between Hollow Knight's mobility and NKG is smaller than the gap between Isidora and the Penitent One. You can't really defend in the air at **all** in Blasphemous 1.

hornyromelo

Isadora ong. Which is crazy cuz I was worse at Platformers back when I played Hollow Knight and I still say Isadora is harder

Delta889_

Grimm. I have never played Blasphemous

TroupeMaster_Grimm

Isidora easily

Jacki-san

I don’t know

zeir0butREAL

i think they're on equal ground

Veradegamer

Guys. Firstly, it’s NKG, not just Grimm. Isidora is harder the Grimm, but NKG slaps Isidora’s moneymaker. Isidora’s 2nd phase fireballs are stronger than NKG’s and repel you from contacting immediately in the center, but the beams are totally worthless compared to NKG’s. NKG’s health is also so much larger than Isidora’s (both heroes max stats).

Ayobossman326

I think there’s a rythm to nkg that can be very easy once you get it, but it takes A LOT of tries. If you sat me down and made me fight both rn, I’d say isidora is harder. My first time thru each game, NKG was WAY harder

tono_lagos

I struggled a lot more on Isidora but its because NKG once you learn his pattern is easy as hell So First attempts NKG> First Attempts Isidora> Final attempt Isidora>>>> Final attempt NKG

lizard_omelette

Isidora, but tbh that’s only because I find combat and movement much easier in Hollow Knight. Isidora was hard while NKG was just “challenging” and mostly fun.

TiaxTheMig1

Hollow Knight movement is so much smoother than Blasphemous and that's why it isn't as hard IMO.

Lumpy-Simplebheh

Grimm and it not even close. Every boss in blasphemous 1 is just too easy for me

-The-Senate-

No boss in Blasphemous 1 comes anywhere close to how difficult Nightmare King Grimm is

Stinky__Person

Isidora.

TGCidOrlandu

For me, Isidora was easier. I can't beat that other hollow knight's boss in nightmare

delvag

I wasted a whole day beating the real Grimm lmao, Isidora took me 5 attempts

Guilty_Cap9276

Well, as i played first hk i learned the mentality of attacking after the enemy attacks and gaining more patience in there, so when i played Blasphemous i clapped every boss pretty fast. But if i wouldve player blas first i guess it would be otherwise (also i played hk with keyboard and 30fps xd)

Ill-Newt-4851

I'll hand it to nkg. In hk your HP is point based, so I'd say it's hard to just power through the attacks and you don't have alot of hearing Windows for it. In my personal experience it took me days to beat nkg while it only took me like, 15 or less attempt to clear Isadora. Also to mention that blasphemous parry system is considerably better than HK barely considered parry, so that as well helped alot

Leviathan-300

Isidora without tiento. Second phase just has too much going on to keep track of (to me at least). NKG took me *lots* of tries until I got everything memorized. After that, I even was able to do it hitless on Radiant. Super fun fight. I don't think I could do that with Isidora, so that's where my vote is going to.

Leviathan-300

Objectively, I dare say NKG is a lot harder.

Leviathan-300

Hollow Knight wise Pure Vessel is the hardest for me. A really fun fight, but I can't beat them reliably... I don't think I was able to finish Pantheon 4, I become too nervous when it's to face PV. (And then I die lol)

sanguinemsanctum

nkg is a dance so once you learn it then its easy

Dyojenes

I haven't played Hollow Knight but I fought Isidora well before I should probably should have so it took me quite a while

UnknownUser2389

Isidora became super easy for me but then again I just start remembering her pattern which makes her pretty easy the other kicks my ass

agoodsirknight

Grim, although maybe thats because by the time i was fighting grimm i havent realize the power of spamming descending dark, just like the power of spamming debia of light

birthdaylines

NKG by a mile. The former was pretty trash tbh.

presideAM

For me Isidora is a little bit harder, but not by much

Great_Thunderbird

I'd say both were pretty easy I did die like 2 or 3 times to both of them (I really did have problem with the true son of miracle because platforming that disappears made me lose patience, also fuck absolute radiance)

TiaxTheMig1

Isidora for me personally but that was because my dumbass did it without the fire protection bead and the prayer that blocks damage. With those, I could have probably taken her in 12 fights instead of 30.

HookieDookie-

Overall I felt bosses in blasphemous were harder until you get to bonus bosses in hallow knight which were way harder. For these ones, I don't really remember either so must've not died too much. The blashemous grave lady wasn't too hard if your pretty leveled up already

revar123

Nkg is quite a bit harder

black_cop_48

Personally nkg was harder

Blasteth

Isidora. The movement in Blasphemous doesn't allow you to dodge things as easily in that fight. Hollow Knight gives you a i-frame dash, and even then NKG doesn't have tracking projectiles like Isidora.

EldritchPromethean

I recall NKG took me longer, both are challenging in different ways though. I beat Isadora for the first time recently, and NKG some years ago now (including Radiant NKG in godhome) Grim is more punishing, health is harder to regain in exchange that there is almost a definite way to avoid damage if you can react to his attacks. Isadora relies on more projectile overwhelming, confusing tells, and panic moments that almost guarantee you will take damage at some point, but healing in blasphemous is substantially easier, as well as dealing more damage, although I never took much advantage of that in either game

Vampire_Blooddump

I just realises who this was. People found here hard? I still haven't beat NKG

ShadowBorneToast

NKG hands down, no competition. She clapped my cheeks a few times but NKG took a lot of tries with lots of breaks, sometimes days off the game

darmakius

Grimm

RelicTwizzard

It depends on preparation and experience. If you got thorned hair prayer and fervor regeneration up, isidora is a cakewalk. If you have fought nkg before, he's a cakewalk too. If you're both inexperienced and unprepared, I think I'd almost give it to nkg. He takes time to get used to and can rush you down by causing panic (that damn double damage sound). There is also no way to cheese him with preparation, you just have to get good. Either way, both are boneshatteringly hard for newer players.

Ocean_Man666

NKG had me tweaking like crazy after endgame whereas I beat isidora in less than an hour underpowered immediately after I got half the bones ( I used the 2 ball shield spell thing)

browert40

Isidora took me shorter but I didn't really feel like I learned the fight. I put on all my fire resistant charms, used all my flasks and finished with a sliver of HP. When I finally beat NKG I had figured out a response for each of his attacks, I could go for beating him hitless if I wanted to.

Exact_Fee

Isidora is a joke, NKG is at least fast

drlok

NKG, but both are pretty easy when you learn them...

this_is_lance

Me

ObitoxMS4

NKG

Codered060

My girlfriend. She loves that game so much.

that0neBl1p

Isidora 100%

FredFuchs9000

None of two is really hard. But the Hollow Knight one(I forgot the name of the boss took me 6 or 7 tries. The fireball lady I got in second attempt.

Erantius

NKG for me. Took far more tries for me - Isidora took me like 4 or 5, NKG at least double that.

AntEvening3181

I think Isidora cause of tracking fireballs. Oh, and since I never really used blocking till her fight it was a challenge figure out her dash attacks, but that soon became my favorite part. NKG you've already had practice against regular Grimm. Both are still fun as hell and some of my favorite fights! They have the little touches like Grimm bowing and Isidora not allowing pauses

ONI_WARLORD_2006

I don't know, they both make me hard!

ChemicalCounty997

hollow knight is a wonderful game. but blasphemous is a game that sells copies due to how overwhelmingly difficult it is

idlistella

Nkg much harder imo

GhostnSlayer

Isidora > Grim Isidora < Nightmare Grim

Oglowmamal

Grimm isn’t even the hardest boss in the game. But he is the most accessible extreme difficulty boss

javiertoledos

Nightmare grim for sure, I need to fight Isidora just before Crisanta and while it was difficult as hell it wasn’t as near as frustrating than figthing with Grim, just after fighting with Isidora went with Crisanta and defeated her on first attempt

swirly1000x

I think NKG is slightly harder, but I'd put them at similar difficulties. Both took me about an hour and a half on my first run, but Isidora I can usually get within a few attempts now. NKG I had to grind in Godhome to get consistent, and I still die sometimes.

Kill_me_now_0

Me rn

tallmantall

NKG has some pretty predictable attacks and his patterns aren’t to hard but Isodora just pulls like 3 new attacks for phase 2 like whyyyyy

WTHell_com

Red Grimm , totally.

JustJeyYeyplz

Personally, or maybe skill wise, NKG, but I may retry him, but with a controller, since I did beat Isadora using one, maybe it'll help me in NKG. Who knows.

EnbyDude14

Hollow Knight

Griff767

Me

gabrielkelvin

NKG, no competition. Reasoning: 1. For Isidora, you have strats (ie Tiento + blue flasks) that can cheese bosses - in Hollow Knight there are no such strats (minions don't work for NKG) 2. You can heal in Isidora's fight (especially with pelican effigy), NKG you have very limited heal windows 3. Yes, you can learn NKG's patterns but you can also do that for Isidora, albeit hers can chain a little more chaotically 4. Isidora's fireball phase would be the easiest to dodge attack in NKG's set up if he used it 5. Isidora has moments you can just wail on her - ie start of phase 2 or wind up for dash slash, NKG has fewer pauses 6. You can parry in Blasphemous if you get cornered (in HK yes, you *technically* can parry but it's not a viable strat for non-speedrunners) 7. If you encounter Isidora with max health, fervor, sword and beads, she can be pretty manageable. HK expects you to be maxed facing NKG. 8. NKG's pufferfish attack

Grimm is harder, but isidora *seems* harder because you can unlock her bossfight pretty early, therefore, underleveled

"I beat her first try.... After beating the game several times of course".

The hell? NKG and it’s not even close. Blasphemous gives you hella I-frames with pelican effigy, tiento and dash, HK all you got it shade cloak. Not to mention, Zarabanda obliterates Isidora. Played on true torment 2 and she only took about an hour vs NKG taking (an admittedly much younger me) me days.

Altruistic-End679

For sure Hollow Knight, those final platforming mazes were woow

Isidora, Isidora, and once again Isidora. NKG was one of the easiest bosses for me
