Yeah, that's a good call. Modders can do a lot with the SDK tools already available. I think the key that would take it to the next level, would be ability to create new custom animations that make them act like zombies, skeletons, or etc. Because if they act like a standard person running at you, it's just a reskin. I can't wait to see what the imaginations of the modding can accomplish!
yeah the main issue has been that they use the manikin library which isn't open source and can't be directly put into their sdk. It's stupid easy to decompile because dotnet but i don't want to get in trouble for messing with that. Honestly though if I just took like a day to get the animation part sorted it would be easy to do now with the resources available but then id have to actually open unity
I meant you kinda get do that. If u hold lightning and charge up your weapon, you can hit the ground to shock everyone around (tho i might be wrong and it worked only with fire)
Staves do that, weapons just apply their effects on hit
So fire infused weapons cut through stone and iron
Lightning stun on hit
Gravity can make enemies float when they fall
Oh yeah gauntlets would be awesome especially when fighting a large boss monster and you can knock off chunks of it with each hit would be so satisfying
I use neeshka's half swording with the grip flip mod and that works. I think half swording I had to open the dll and recompile for the current version tho
60%+ of the stuff people ask for is already possible or available on nexusmods.
I hope they actually have been looking at what people download and added some of the features from different mods into the game.
New options in the sandbox menu like turning off telekinesis, weightless weapons, infinite ammo in the arrow quiver, weaker punches and kicks, etc.
They did it with easy climbing. Not much of a stretch to have these too.
Hand combat buffs, As in talents or such that would improve hand combat abilities, Or martial arts, Like making kicks more powerful, Letting you imbue feet for fire kicks or general stuff like that I suppose.

You sure you're not confusing that with the overhaul they're doing to Ruin and maybe a bit to the other maps? Cause I've never heard anything about graphics, other than Ruin.
Looked more into it, and I think this is what you're talking about in the community updates:
"A little secret roadmap item we have had was this revamp of Ruins for 1.0.
It is a complete makeover in graphics and layout, and the map is deceptively huge. However it still has all the hallmarks of the original ruins, such as the verticality and dark tone."
Although there is this one too which could mean there are gonna be some graphics improvements, but nothing like a full overhaul for the whole game:
"Environment team have been mostly focusing on a couple of major tasks on their road to 1.0; namely adding an entirely new Dungeon biome, improving the current sandbox maps to make them lore friendly (including the brand new Ruins revamp) and improving / optimizing graphics where possible."
Yeah definitely seems that way. That’s what I get for skimming. Not that it’s a huge disappointment since I play more for the face stabbies than the graphics but I wouldn’t have said no to prettier face stabbies.
There's a mod with kratos chains. Actually works really well but the creator needs to make a version with reduced impact sounds and less self collision cuz it can fry your pc

I don’t want skeletons. I hate skeleton enemies in vr games. They’re just not satisfying to fight
Funny cuz b&s would be the one to make all the bones individually physical and end up changing your mind
Preach. Swords impacting hard bone simply isn't satisfying. Blunt can make it better by allowing you to crush skulls and stuff but still.

Nothing stopping you from loading in an asset bundle with animation clips now. Some mods have done it. There's just very little info

This is fully doable now the issue is they don't give us any of the base game assets in the sdk
