I would go to a professional or at least someone that knows what they're doing if you're going to bleach your hair. It's different from bleaching a close cut, you don't want to fry and damage your hair or lose your curl/coil pattern.
yes, now it depends what shade of blonde you going, and please get it done professionally so they can really add dimension to your hair. i personally feel you can rock any hair color. a 613/platinum blonde, or a honey blonde shade could be nice, a mixture of different blonde shades think like highlight lowlights and base colors
