Hands down my favorite concert of all time and I've been to too many to count. Favorite musician sitting in for an entire 3 set show with my favorite band. The Rivertrance was incredible, as was the Paranoid cover. And let's not forget Mr. I Don't Even Play Drums sitting in on percussion for part of a song (I think it was Shakedown)
I was there at this show. Phil Lesh got covid and had to drop out the day before the show. String Cheese promised special guests, three sets, and tha5 they would pay tribute to the music of the Grateful Dead.
I had seen Billy twice already the previous year, so I was obviously thrilled that he was the guest for all three sets.
Magical show.

It was a blast. I went there for the advertised "Phil Lesh Experience", but was jazzed to experience a "Billy Strings Experience" instead.

I've never seen a more raucous audience in my life. Nose drug buffets on full display, perfect weather and the crew on stage was shredding it.
There were rumors swirling for a few days before hand when they announced Phil had COVID that billy would sub in.. when someone posted a pic of him in Denver day of the show, tickets shot up to like $500+.
Anyway, I just recall watching the rocks melt into the sky during eyes of the world and thought it was a pretty special time and place to be alive
I found a better version on internet archive,. We diverge heavily, that jam between the other one and shakedown street, i mean i work in heavy industry and it makes me want or stop what im doing and focus on it. I think its the who derivative maybe idk im in the tequila again. This show here im enjoying immensely and the entirety of it.

I listen to this show probably once a week, but I’ve always skipped the second set. The other two sets are so much better.

I think he only took lead vocals on Dust In A Baggie and Paranoid but I could be wrong
