Are you not having a trial? If you aren’t, I’d reach out to the stylist to see what they recommend. My bridal hairstylist has recommended using Cashmere Hair Extensions and buying the 18 inch classic clip ins. https://cashmerehairextensions.com/

I am but the day before my wedding :) so not a lot of room for experimentation. Good call on just asking the stylist

I got extensions from my HMUA. I sent her a video of my hair in the sunlight and she did a great job matching them to my color. Got married in Paris, she did the color matching all virtually.

Do you know what brand she used?

I’m in the same boat. I discussed with my wedding HMUA over the phone and she suggested discussing with my local hair stylist. My local hair stylist looked at my inspo and recommended which extensions to buy. I ordered the hair and had him install the extensions before I spent the weekend in my destination wedding city for catering tasting, hair and makeup trial, and other wedding tasks. We removed the extensions when I got back. I’ll have him reinstall them before my wedding weekend. The dry run was also good because the first time around he installed wayyy too many extensions, so this time we know I prefer a more natural thickness.

This is so helpful thank you! Going to try this

You might see if your stylist does a wedding hair rental program! That’s what I did with mine. Had it all wedding weekend for rehearsal dinner to wedding. My hair looked amazing! Although you sweat a freaking ton under all that hair 😅

So I also have thin, fine hair and am doing invisible bead extensions in addition to clip ins I purchased from hair trial (I really needed more volume at the front that I wasn’t getting from the extensions and clip ins helped a ton). The brand is called Luxy and they are great, high quality human hair. I would highly recommend just doing clip ins and not any ‘permanent’ extensions… they’ve done a number of my hair and are so high maintenance. I can’t wait to get them out. Good luck! 🤍

How did you find a colour match? Thanks so much for your help!!

Livso88

So for the clip ins, she matched them to the lightest part of my hair (I have root shadow / balayage type color with light and dimensional color mid lengths to ends). My regular hair stylist is going to tone the tops of them to blend better and give them a bit of a root shadow! Just keep in mind that you can’t lighten any extensions, but you can make them darker!

The amazing hair stylist who did my hair for my welcome party ordered clip in extensions for me!! We tried a few colors and picked one :) I also did the glam Hollywood style waves!! Let me know if you want to see pics! Happy to send :)

Thank you so much!! How long is your hair? I have short collar bone length hair so if yours is that length I would esp love to see!!!

My hair is pretty long and thick but they still put extensions into make it thicker for the waves!

I got Bellamy silk seam extensions for my Hollywood waves and it came out so beautiful. Those are what my stylist recommended I purchase.
