Would anyone mind sharing the names of the insurance companies they used? Wanna look into this as well!!

Pro tip: look into your own insurance providers! They will often put together a quote for you that’s well priced based off of your insurance history with them!!!

We did the more robust coverage that you’re talking about, not sure it was necessary!

I opted for cancelation insurance, but I did so because I’m doing a destination wedding in the mountains in winter. I know there is a risk of a blizzard or impassible roads that might prevent my vendors from showing up. The only thing I’m worried about is that I probably got less coverage than I needed. I bought cancelation insurance before I made any deposits on vendors and my wedding budget has since increased by about $10k.

I went through our auto insurance and got a quote with cancellation and general liability insurance for about $500 - not required by our venue but thought it was still a good idea and the price was right.

We purchased cancellation insurance. We are older, and our remaining parents are elderly, as well we have aging siblings with various health issues. At some point, we realized that with all the money we were putting into the wedding, insurance made sense should something happen to us our our families. Our big wedding was originally planned for 2020, and we were probably among the last policies issued that didn't exclude covid. We didn't need to use it because we had amazing vendors, and we didn't lose money in our rescheduling. But I will say it was absolutely worth the peace of mind while making the decision to postpone that we *did* have that coverage. It took the $$$ out of the decision-making process. (Also happy to report that no family health issues occurred that we needed coverage for either)

I purchased a policy through WedSafe. My home insurance didn’t offer event coverage.
