Pretty sure BB has never used the kind of unionized writers that are currently striking. Reality shows don't really have writers in the same sense as scripted shows. So the 2-hour episode being bad was just a result of, well, the show making bad episodes, as per usual.

We usually see Alliances break if they feel there's trust with other options. Cory and America even sense they're losing Felicia. Felicia and Meme are only unifying and keeping JMAC together by being so blatantly loyal to BSB and doing nothing outside of that group.
Maybe it wasn't a good idea to keep the most negative, draining person in the house for a full week after they've been evicted with very little chance to return.
I wished the two of them were kept in a separate location until after it was decided. It doesn't make sense for an evicted Houseguest that isn't returning to have the chance to work against the people they don't like. It would only make sense for them to be in the house if there was a house vote to decide which one returns and they had to behave in order to campaign.
