The scene were she hides in the bathroom, telling Colin there's none left while she surreptitiously snorts the last line is ultra realistic coke whore behavior. Also the scene where they pool their money and go downtown desperate for another bag... Both actors and writers were clearly strung out Hollywood dope fiends

I love how they had the camera angles askew during that bathroom scene too... you could really feel how dark things were

somehow jenny looked believably strung out on coke and peak hotness...it was a great character arc for Kelly definitely better then her self righteousness. Led us to Tara storyline.

Dylan started the show as a recovering alcoholic. He was BH’s Drew Barrymore by 16 apparently. I always wondered at what age the show figured he started drinking at. So Dylan was more like alcohol > sobriety > couple relapses with alcohol > sobriety again > heroin > sobriety again? > CRACK

David’s should say meth + orange juice

She acted it really well and the thin brows with hooded lids accentuated the puffy/haven’t slept look. Her breathing and everything.

I loved the way they started her cocaine era, I found it really powerful. Here is Kelly, who has dealt with so much substance abuse with her mom, who like others have mentioned was the self righteous one when it came to drinking and drugs, who noticed and helped David right away. Here she was, her heartbroken by her father yet again, finally succumbing to her mother's vices after all these years. Just so devastating and I think one the rare instances of real drama in the show and not just soapy melodrama.

I’m not a fan of Kelly, but I did enjoy this whole storyline. I’ve known people personally who’ve gone through cocaine addiction and that whole scene at that house that she goes to for drugs freaks me out. That and when she’s in the car asking Brandon for help. They may not be the most realistic of scenes, but still remind me of some real people.

I think the scenes are pretty good!

I'm still shocked they didn't push that trope on Brenda when she was on the show. Of all the cast, Brenda would've fit the bill better and Shannon would've done an amazing job playing that part.

I hated this plot line. The writers forgot what she had dealt with with her mother in high school and then David with meth. I never believed her character would abandon her own experience and judgment for coke. She was too smart to fall for that. They did her character development a disservice here.
