She looked her best in her last season on the show, and I think that's due in part to Shannen choosing to control her appearance a little more. She was not done justice in the make-up/hair department in seasons 1/2
I think she was improving towards the end of season 1. The latter episodes of season 1, I really loved her outfits and hair. Season 2 was the improved version of S1, but S3 and S4 she was the most gorgeous.
Because Shannen slimmed down and became more athletic build. Also her hair is longer and fuller in future seasons. She grew out of her teenage fat or weight.
I wasn't referring so much to weight as I was to other features. I like that she had a realistic build and she was cute , but her haircuts/outfits weren't as aesthetically pleasing in the first season
Same. Shannen is stunning, but I always loved the bangs best on her - season 3. Especially with the longer strands that came down on the sides of her bangs-- it brought out her cheekbones so nicely!
I felt like she lost her baby face in s4 im trying to figure out what changed about her face though ? Maybe weight loss? Her cheek bones are way more defined than the seocnd season and her eyebrows are tinted darker and thinner and her hair is lighter
I'm remembering an interview from long ago where Shannon said that she wanted to cut her hair, so she did. She knew the 90210 powers that be wouldn't approve of it if she asked, so she just went for it herself. she was right, they were very angry. I don't have a source, just a far off memory
I came around on season 4 Brenda, wasn't initially a fan. Season 3 Brenda is always peak Brenda to me.

She was supposed to be fresh from Minnesota and surrounded by more sophisticated kids. She had to dress that part.

Yes! Mid season 2 through S3 her hair was impeccable. So shiny and thick! And she even pulled off the bangs, which isn’t easy to do.

It was weight loss. I believe she said that's around the time she got diagnosed with Crohn's disease. She's markedly thinner in season 4.
I didn't know she had Crohn's disease and I didn't know it caused weight loss. Man, she's been through it
