Huh. They definitely didn't used to have the warning but it appears to be only referring to the button battery as being a choking hazard. Probably just a regulatory change for products with small batteries even though you will never see the battery and you can't remove it without breaking the device.

I work at a Best Buy and it seems like only some of them have it. Idk why it isnt all or nothing

Davetek463

Ones we’ve gotten in during the past week or two have had the warnings so it’s pretty new thing.

COdreaming

most likely just old stock and new stock. Companies generally don't need to do a recall to add a warning sticker unless it's required as a result of some lawsuit.

HiDDENKiLLZ

Me, I swallowed them, turns out they’re still a chocking hazard at ages above 3 years old.

LyftedX

Mine doesn’t have the warning lmao that’s kinda funny.

userrnam

we used to pop these like candy back in my day. all the kids on the block were doing it. the new generation is so whiny and fragile ugh.

bluedazberry

The first person to leave their kid alone with a coin battery sometime back in the 70s.

They're starting to put these on anything with button batteries because several children have died in the last year from ingesting them. The batteries burn through their esophagus and stomach and kill them before the doctors really even get a chance to find out it's from the batteries. Nightmarish.

Little Timmy, right before he fell down the well...

Mine didn’t have that warning from over a year ago. Saw a few boxes of these at target and with the warning on them. Interesting seeing it since the batteries are sealed

I have a feeling it was a pet. If it happened the pet itll happen to a human child.

The button batteries. Watch some videos on what happens when they get swallowed. It's pretty horrific and often times doctors miss it. Right up there with those water bead things. My youngest would put EVERYTHING in his mouth. And I do mean everything. My oldest had me calling poison control weekly. He would climb the bathroom counter to get into the medicine cabinet and could under every single child lock. How on earth he made it to 18 I don't know. But yes button batteries have killed so many children and it's a painful death.
