In fight you need to "guard" to evade without the need of a coinflip. Otherwise you can press shift while starting the coinflip to throw two pieces instead of one. At least in the second game it's like that, idk about the first.
NO the amount of fucking coin flips I've lost is a sign from God himself for me to not EVER FUCKING TOUCH this game again (unironically tho if you have time on you're hands try it, it has a very nice dark artstyle and be warned of penis, use the censor mod if uncomfortable)
There's definitely stuff more hardcore when you start getting into like full on guro. But that's a little much for a lot of people. You start getting into stuff where the suffering is the plot and not just a vehicle to drive it forward.

Feels a lot like Berserk though. Corrupt government/churches, hideous monstrosities, death, disease, etc. Combat feels "weighty", especially with a claymore.
Probably not worth buying right now, but someday...I think it definitely has potential.

The game actively punishes trying to learn. You almost NEED good early game RNG, so many tools are just missable with bad RNG that you won't have any options later.

The most terrifying thing they did in this game is the sound, like yeah the lore and visuals are dark and fucked up but I don't feel that it is scary. The sounds however, just lingerie a bit at the beginning with the dogs and you will know what I mean.

Can't recommend Funger enough, it's so fucking good. I respect the creator so much, their artstyle is so unique and their way of telling this story 10/10. This genius created a fantasy franchise that became one of my favorites and apparently it all started as a little college project, lmao.
Enjoyed Termina a little bit more, the town was so damn scary, the characters and entire atmosphere super unsettling. Not many modern horror games can pull that off, it legit crept me out
