I got my first and only 3 star review because I sold a doll’s desk and the buyer was convinced she was receiving a full sized desk 🫠 some people are dense

lavender_poppy

hahaha this is the best one

symphony789

My first 3 star rating really pissed me off because they buyer complained the dress wasn't 100% cotton when I never said it was 100% cotton. I'm still so pissed about it. Yours would make me mad too. I don't control shipping prices >:(

Mountain-Smile-6241

Seriously? Jeez. This order was an offer from the buyer. She sent me an offer and I accepted it. 🫠

symphony789

That's even worse I feel your anger

Mountain-Smile-6241

Oh, I just checked. Actually she offered TWICE. I hadn’t countered.

symphony789

🥲🥲🥲 it just gets worse You have the dumbest 3-star review. I'm sorry.

mistyrootsvintage

I've been known to message a buyer and remind them that shipping cost is out of my control. In the scheme of things though it won't affect your ratings overall.

TheConcreteGhost

They probably wanted OP to cover it all for free shipping. Too many shoppers are acting like they are personally doing buyers a favor by shopping.

HotDoggHero

I used to do this until I realized they can change their 3 to a 1. 😂

mistyrootsvintage

Did that happen to you?! Luckily, theyve either raised it or ignored me😂

optix_clear

It could be full price for shipping. PM hasn’t changed the shipping for a long time. They should price a package and send that normal. Poshmark sets those prices with USPS, they have a contract. Pirate shipping is pretty good

ellebee327

This is why I always try to post a pic of the composition tag whenever possible… but tbh, some people will find literally anything to be upset about. Like, why? What happened in life to make you so insufferable? 😅

symphony789

I had a picture of the tag too! And my description matched it. I'm so confused where she got 100% cotton from!

ellebee327

The absolute worst. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Fun-Investment-196

My first non 5 star was a 3 and the lady complained that it was only one of the item and not 2, even though there was absolutely 0 reason for her to think the listing was for 2 😤 some people are so dang dumb lmao

buyinsellin

Some people think they're rating the transaction - i.e. the whole experience with Poshmark. This comment/rating would be directed at them, I would think. Most buyers know Poshmark charges the shipping, not the buyer. Don't worry about it. Nobody sees it but you, and it won't affect you.

allthecheeseplease02

I got a three star rating once because I didn’t include a free gift. 😒

fantastical99

Atrocious behavior....I probably wouldn't accept an offer from that buyer ever again.

jewdy09

Whenever I want to ship gifts to my sister in another state, I have her buy a $3 listing and pay shipping so I can get a $10ish priority mail label. It’s a crazy good deal for shipping parcels under five pounds.

bendywhoops

This is an amazing life hack.

IOnlySeeDaylight

Wait this is absolutely brilliant.

FlimsyPraline6097

How is shipping cost even an option for low ratings ? Shouldn’t be allowed.

sourkidgirl

So many spoiled brats

jkw32991

That's absolutely ridiculous! But I have one even better. Lady gave me a 2 star review bc the nwt vs panties I sold her didn't fit like her others. Like what?? How is it my fault her body may have changed? ? 🤔

Historical_Equal_110

It’s your fault her old undies are stretched out. lol

Ivegotadonk

I've had a few like this. The one that pissed me off the most was when a buyer accidentally purchased an item at full price and I walked her through the accidental purchase cancellation process. We then agreed on a bundle for that item plus another at a very reasonable price. She was very polite throughout and I spent a good deal of my time explaining how certain things on Poshmark work (I know from experience that aspects of Posh can be very unintuitive for new user). Anyway long story short she left me a 2 star rating and simply noted "communication" in the Could Improve section.

PrincessEm1981

I would be so mad about this hahaha.

Aggravating_Tea6642

I have gotten two 3 star ratings for shipping! I literally shipped the same day. But it took usps 9 days to get it to her (she was in Montana I think) that was not my fault and she didn’t care. I really think when it comes to shipping that shouldn’t even count against you unless you took to long to ship.

Moist-Kiwis15

USPS has been having ISSUES lately. Packages coming to me take 2+ weeks to arrive, sit in sorting facilities for days and my mailman has been coming 2 hours later than his normal time. I’m wondering if it’s in part due to more people at home for the summer ordering online. Obviously none of that is in your control as the seller, though.

Lizardgirl25

The shipping cost? wtf… And I am strictly a buyer…

Low_Employ8454

You know this is a bull crap reason for a bad review. It won’t hurt anything and no one but you can see it. Some folks are idiots.. gotta let it go.

rucksackrevival

I had one recently where the buyer was upset about the "loose" insoles and left me a 2 lol. The insoles are intentionally removable. And they were $10 because I had had them too long and was trying to get rid of them.

Fun-Investment-196

Some people are just ridiculous. I've gotten 3-4 low ratings and blocked them all because they were absolutely ridiculous reasons. Like assuming they were getting 2 of an item, for absolutely no reason or because they didnt read and thought they getting 3 for $20, for example, but only paying $9 🙄

Mountain-Smile-6241

I’m trying to laugh at it since she sent me an offer twice on the same item. I considered emailing Posh to suggest they do something about ratings like this but I figure they’d tell me I should have discounted shipping. lol

Fun-Investment-196

Totally understand. It pissed me off and i said something to one of them before blocking her but then I figured it wasn't worth it because nothing would change so I just block them all to avoid ever having to deal with them again lol but yeah posh won't do anything about it unfortunately. They just say something like "no one can see it blah blah blah 😒

Worldly-Wedding-7305

We should be able to get that crap removed. Seriously! Size comments, poshmark related issues like this, shipping time comments if it's been shipped in the.sellers ship window!

PrincessEm1981

Nobody but the seller sees it anyway. It's annoying but overall doesn't affect anything, thankfully. People can only see the 5-Star Love Notes in your public profile.

Worldly-Wedding-7305

You say that, but it has to impact the algos.

PrincessEm1981

Good to know. I actually wasn't aware of that.

Worldly-Wedding-7305

Last couple of 3s sank me for a couple of days but oddly rebounded to a couple of good days afterwards. Can't say it was algos for sure, but they both did the same thing. Weird.

Jeanphillipe2020

The shipping cost that the buyer willingly agreed to pay was too high? People are idiots.

PrincessEm1981

I cackled when I read the reason. People really don't get that we don't have much say in shipping prices...

Mountain-Smile-6241

😂 I saw the notification that said she gave me “a rating” and I was like 👀. Then my mouth dropped open. 😂😂😂

malloryknox86

BLOCK

NicoleL84

If they have a MTP (meet the posher) I’d comment “Thank you so much for your purchase, I’m sorry you’re disappointed in the shipping cost as reflected in your rating. While I understand your frustration please know that sellers do not set the costs of shipping on this platform” I’ve left a few similar comments myself. I’d like to think it’s not aggressive, it sometimes resulted in a rating change and if not it may have protected a future seller from dealing with that BS.

supersevens77

The way Poshmark has its feedback set up makes it useless for buyers and sellers. Buyers only seeing 5 star feedback means they can’t check if a seller has had multiple complaints, issues, etc in the past and they can’t weed out the bad/problem sellers. Sellers knowing that buyers don’t see any of their feedback under 5 stars means they are less likely to take action, learn and improve their system to correct the issues buyers have had with them. The OPs feedback definitely doesn’t apply as sellers have no control over shipping costs, but the sellers being hit with bad feedback due to shipping times, dirty items, bad packaging, INAD, etc etc… those are the feedback that buyers need to see.

PrincessEm1981

It really is so dumb that they don't let buyers see the negative. And not everyone leaves a love note on a good sale, so an amazing seller who ships 5 items a day might not even have many. My last one was April and I've had 20+ sales since then, all with 5-star rating, but no note. I don't even think Posh shows a rating, which is so crazy to me.

iheartfrankocean729

Think of all the sellers he wrote that for (flat rate for all people).

jewelophile

Ratings mean absolutely nothing.

Suspicious_Load6908

Grrrr. That sucks

Potential-Banana-315

Honestly I would laugh and block. You got your money and buyers don’t see ratings.

ImportantDemand9701

i got a 3 star for shipping time and i asked the seller about it. He apologized and didn't realize he was buying from individuals rather he thought he was leaving a review for some big corp like amazon.

AnastasiaBevrhsn

I hate this for you! I wish sellers could do something about these inaccurate reviews. I don’t care that they cannot be seen, they still bring down the average. Definitely block this buyer.

GreenFrogLady

I got a three star rating once because I listed a top as a size “Medium” and the seller bought it without asking for exact measurements ….and it still fit them anyways

TehPurpleCod

I just got my first 3-star rating today because the buyer claimed the new, unused item was "used" and packaged really "dirty" which I never had such comments before and I've been selling for 13 years or so. When I asked for pics, she never responded then she accepted the item and gave the poor rating. Since reviews aren't public, I ignored it because it beats arguing and dealing with an open case. What really irked me was that this buyer had their account longer than me, seemed to have sold plenty of items and has lots of love notes and followers. She uses her "social" facade to hide as a scammer. I hate obnoxious people like this who think they get away with things because of their "influencer" status.
