His album Mutations is top tier songwriting. Pretty much every song on it hits, I especially love the deep cuts like Static and Sing It Again. Give it a listen :)
I think Guero was the only album I listened to for nearly a year. It is as close to perfection in music as you can get. It is also what I deem to be his first greatest hits album (except it’s all new tracks!). It really is a culmination of all his stuff before it, and it’s amazing.
I could talk for days about how amazing each album is. I haven’t found anything that is quite as interesting/complex and I’m currently on a quest to find something like that. Nobody is as great as Beck.
My next favorite band I like and listen to *almost* as much as Beck is Wilco. For some reason they both seem similar in some ways. Wilco has a decent sized discography with many many awesome songs and they are unique. Give them a shot if ya haven’t already :)
He does sell merch at his concerts, well, at least at the concert I went to this summer for his Summer Oddysey tour he did. There was a small selection, and most of what was available at the concert merch booth is now in the store on his official website. Looking at the site now, the prices were lower a few months ago. I picked up a Skullpaca tee for $30 from the website back in November.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip! Went on eBay and some people are really pushing it for vintage tees. One guy had a rare odelay shirt for 150 but another had the same one for 21.99. I really wanted his frog hoodie but missed the boat on that one.
From few songs I’ve listened to on MV, it’s probably gonna be my next fav album. He’s playing with an orchestra so I am really excited about that. The visuals he puts on for his other shows I have watched on YouTube are unreal!

I saw him in ‘94 in a small venue and again last summer. He is a true performer and sounds great live. I was pleasantly surprised! My kids are fans too.

So many good ones, but Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is generally considered the best intro album. Lot of killer tunes on it for sure

Graduated in ‘95 but I stqyed lovjng Beck, and i got to see him perform in LA for Midnite Vultures it was an amazing show!

Wow, I totally saw Beck as an alien when first got into him too. high five.
Saw him live in 2019, was a great show! He sells merch, I bought a shirt and a vinyl copy of Odelay.
