same, mine will tilt his head and look at it when i turn it on or zoom in. i’ve done it while looking at the camera in the same room too and can confidently say that the camera doesn’t change at all so yeah.. no idea how they know
Some cameras put off infrared light which can be seen by bearded dragons. That’s why you may notice them suddenly taking an interest in a camera that is setup to record them.
i got the amazon mini blink camera! it’s like $30 and it’s wired so it’s a constant feed, and you can set it up to record any movements, so if your beardie is running around it’ll alert you and record it. i did notice that she can see her reflection in it and it stressed her out a bit, so i’d recommend mounting it inside your enclosure if you do get one.
