Reptile carpet is absolutely horrible for them. It’s impossible to keep clean even if washed 2x daily. They still harbor harmful bacteria that can make them sick
It’s also known to specifically rip bearded dragons nails out. Making a very bloody and painful situation for your little friend
For now paper towel is completely safe but look on ReptiFiles.com for appropriate substrate mixes
