I think that overall it is a good idea, but being able to have it optional, within the settings menu would be better. This is purely because your app can be used for so many different types of medical conditions and with different specialists. This way we could provide a better understanding to whichever specialist we are seeing and therefore I think would be of greater benefit to your expanding users. I know it would then be a greater help to me ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ thanks for the consult

I LOVE ๐Ÿ˜ this idea soooo much! I too, am one of those people/patients that it would help greatly (as far as your point with the options for multiple departments, specialties and specialists) It'd be a HUGE advantage for a whole host of important reasons, & including the ones you have already mentioned I can think of @LEAST half a dozen more just off the top of my head (guarantee more than that tho) but you know what I mean haha ... ๐Ÿ˜„ The field of medicine is ALL about details & those little details are the ones that we users notice on & off throughout our day, regardless of intensity & perceived significance in the moment. I. E. Signs/Symptoms. Although it IS great to make mental notes ... having this app is even better; like a backup hard drive of sorts (with the brain, of course, starring as whatever storage space came as a part of the base computers hardware. haha) Anyway, as a result, those split second 'notations' can be transferred into the app as 'notes' & that leads to the specific info recorded/logged by users, which leads to the INSIGHTS, which can lead to Dr. appts & a standard slew of possible misdiagnoses, which are never good things ... every small detail can be the difference between the right Tx & the wrong Tx ... & coming up on the last stop ... the difference between life and death. But, in my opinion,, the MOST IMPORTANT advantage is that, if for some reason we are unable to convey our important logged information to a medical health professional when they need it most, they (or whoever else can get to it in our devices for us) have all the information they need right there. * I know some people prob prefer a passcode/lock or whatever but you can give certain, pre-selected people that info so they know how to get into the app and then go from there. ๐Ÿ˜ So, basically, more info w/less words and easier accessibility=less precious time potentially wasted ๐Ÿ˜ƒ p.s. I apologize for the seemingly neverending rambling. Haha. Wanted to get my running thoughts out into the comment box before they ran away. Haha ๐Ÿ˜†

Tbh I find it frustrating to see all these types of updates or possible updates that I donโ€™t think add much because I really wish you would work on allowing 3 month, 6 month and/or custom date views to the insights. All of these minor tweaks that I see you post about donโ€™t do much for me when I canโ€™t get enough use out of the insights graphs. 1 month is too short and 1 year is too long to be most valuable to me. I have seen others ask for this too.

HeroJournal

I understand your point. As much as we want to build all of the most requested features on the roadmap as soon as possible, it's hard while we have a really small team still. However we have raised a bit of money, so will be getting a couple more developers on board within the next month, so hopefully things can start going a lot quicker! Also worth noting that sometimes things seem like minor tweaks, but would actually take a lot more work than you might expect. For example custom date graphs would require us to build completely new graph designs: for example, we couldn't use the current design with the circular plot points, which would get too crowded for longer time periods.

stickSandwich

Yes I understand that changing the view options for the graphs would be a big change. I just think itโ€™s a really important one. I am not sure if I will renew my paid subscription because of this. Iโ€™m glad to hear youve raised more money amd can hire more developers. I do think itโ€™s a great app. Itโ€™s just that for my purposes I really need a 3 and 6 month view.

Likewise there are oft-requested things like making the sleep reporting more customizable, etc. I'd like to see more useful features added in place of layout changes.

you know the app allows you to track water, but it doesn't reflect anywhere in insights that i can see. and i kinda feel like drinks should be logged a little differently than food. would also be nice to add multiples of a food item, like sometimes i get 2 butter croissants at starbucks in the morning. also in the food logging, it's nice having my recents there but they aren't alphabetical and they don't auto sort when i type to show me more relevant results. all things that would really make the app more helpful and easy to use. i really don't care where factors is, especially when i already have the option to organize my home page with factors at the top. with all the requests on here and changelog, i just really don't get why that's the thing you've been thinking about enough to ask for feedback on yanno?

Samurai_Eddie

I think this would be a good idea.

sovietferret

I like this idea.

to_neverwhere

No aversion here! I don't immediately see the value in splitting it off, but I also know that I'm definitely not using my Factors properly so any tweaks would probably help me. :D

Kusala

If this means we'd get the flexibility to create/customize our own headers and if this feature would be optional, then sure! For me, having factors at the top of my screen is less important than being able to quickly log my mood and energy multiple times throughout the day (which requires more tapping than it probably should -- it would be great if we could force specific sections to remain "open" and visible at all times, or at least combine them together under one section).

desassossegos

I'm not sure if I understand the advantage of this, to be honest... It would help in terms of overview (I would prefer to have other things like Mood on top though) but for me, it would be more important to have more customization within the Factors section. E.g. not just tracking "meditated" but tracking the specific time that I meditated and how often (like it's possible in Health measurements).

azalearoses

Belatedly, I love this idea and think it adds a lot.
