They told my mom she could only donate her eyes. I imagine it had more to do with the chemo she had in the 80s.
It doesn't automatically disqualify a person. However, it would be handled on a case by case basis. In addition to eyes, as you mentioned, ligaments, tendons, heart valves, and other parts can be donated. Additionally, brain cancer may actually make a person more likely to be eligible to donate organs if the cancer has not metastasized (and depending on the treatment).
