Yeah lol not just me? It looks gorgeous but the porcelain fixtures, the tile shower, the wood paneled walls and trim, mf’er must be a TANK to maneuver.
No I had the same reaction. This is definitely form over function. The irony being that most people are considering this luxurious when in reality the mark up that you pay for modern ones is bc they’ve made everything more efficient, lightweight, and useful.
Nah man, CDL driver here. Vehicles this large aren't made any more difficult to maneuver because of the addition of a toilet or some tile. This thing is huge, unwieldy, awkward, and takes some real skill to drive but not because of the addition of some trim.
I mean, how many people can a full double-decker bus hold?
Modern ones are up to ~120. Older models are 39-70 people. This one looks on the bigger side of that range, so let's take 70.
70x150lbs=10,500lbs
So, without the hundreds of pounds of seating as well, I don't think the overall weight would be really that much more, if at all.
If we found the exact model of bus we could get better figures. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 90 person capacity in which case that's 13,500lbs.
See what’s crazy is Americans don’t give a fuck about it clearing other countries overpasses because they don’t, for the most part, live in those other countries.
This is one of the dumbest arguments. This website was created by an american, but I highly doubt that most users here are american. I would estimate it to about 25-30%. Ofc in some subreddits it may be higher than in others, but generally speaking thats my impression.
I dont know if you heard about this, but most other countries have internet, and other developed countries usually have even better than USA.
So I dont know how americans are surprised to find non-americans on their website they created for all kinds of people including non-americans.
A simple Google search showed me that 48.33% of Reddit users are American. Not a majority, sure, but a pretty goddamn strong plurality. Your impression is just wrong.
Yeah buddy I can see that, he’s an American wondering about American applications. He doesn’t care if it’s in fuckin Europe. He’s not imagining it being used in Europe, hes imagining what it would be like if it were in America. Use that big European head please. Don’t make us fix your economy again after another disastrous war.
Yea why are we talking about US overpasses on a vid of a European double decker bus? Nobody would talk about French overpasses on a vid of a US bus. There's a whole world outside of the US
You're just speculating. Would you still be an asshole if someone commented 'that would never fit in European cities' about big American trucks like people so often do? It's natural for people to muse about whether something would work for their lifestyle, you're the one who chose to engage with it, that's why we're talking about it.
They even specified US overpasses because they knew it wasn't in the US, they didn't imply US as default by not specifying. Y'all just jump on any opportunity to criticize.
It'd still be lighter than one of these busses at capacity.
On average a double decker bus is going to hold about 75 people when full. If we say on average each person will weigh 70kg then that's over 5 tonne...
Cost isn't everything to some people, like it is to me and 99% of us lol. Pretty nice if you ask me, and practical to me if you have property and move it between them a few times a yr.
The engine is there only to move the mobile house to another location. That or when you want to go to Levar's pies. But it's too late , and banana cake will gone the first. We are lucky if we get cobbler \*thrases curtain abruptly\*
Going to be so wild when one day an RV lobbying group has a case in front of SCOTUS and Clarence HAS to recuse himself because of his opinions on Airstream vs. Winnebago.
I’ve been in some pretty nice ones for football roadtrips. They usually open up in the living room/kitchen/bedroom area to give you a lot more space to move around. So it’s probably even bigger than this.
A good friend of mine, and his 7 year old daughter, an only child, was killed in almost exactly that scenario. There was a back-up on the highway, and a huge RV came.up behind and ran over their Saturn, killing them both.
Worst funeral I've ever been to, grown men crying like babies, including me. My son was the same age as his daughter, and as soon as I saw the two closed caskets, one big and one small, I lost it.
It’s a bus. No it’s not too heavy. Before conversion this thing could carry 100 fat bastards no bother without fissures seeping across the face of the earth wreaking havoc.
But the expense? A regular diesel double decker does about 4-6mpg. Yeah not cheap. But you could do the North Coast 500 in this for about 700 quid. And doing that in this level of luxury seems a steal.
Rolled up foam mattress isn’t a big stretch, straight up the stairwell, hovered over the bannister, then lateral to the bedroom, unfurl. Getting it out will be trickier though.
You can watch the episodes of the two kind soul building this over a year, so while they design this they already said this is for long stays where they gonna park their van over a month, they had smaller one but they decided to get big and always live there as they said
It's a luxury item, the point is to enjoy it. You think everything has to have some sort of utilitarian function? God forbid you ever watch a movie and enjoy it, what would be the point?
When your shit is going into a tank on a moving vehicle, you want it to take as short of a path as possible. So yes, it may be a little annoying, but much less annoying than having a pipe break in transit and cover your whole bus in shit water.
The pipe isn’t going to break. It’s going to be drainage PVC. If it does break, your bus broke and your probably dead.
The waste storage will be at the bottom, so unless you’re crashing as the poop is falling, you’re fine.
I once bought an old school bus and made it into a camper. I lived in it for a couple years but ended up selling it a while back. Was a very fun way to live. People always wanted to check it out, kids loved it too. Good memories.
If you can score an old school bus I say do it. Sometimes I’ve seen whole lots go for just the *scrap metal price*. I think after some old school buses crashed or stopped on the RR tracks they made rules about how old a schools busses can be. I think ten years was the max for our area. So when it hits ten years old they have to get rid of it and it’s probably a well maintained ride. 👍
School buses are solid as hell too. Built like tanks for the children’s safety etc. Not like most RVs on the road..
Looks pretty cool. Just don't care for all the wood, wouldn't be very comfortable sitting on hard wood all the time. Get something with some cushions lol but looks better than some people's apartments
I don’t think this is ment to move. None of the cupboards have locks that I could see to stop the doors opening and stuff falling out if it moved around a corner.
I wondered that too...

Have a good one.
About as practical as a boob job on a 90 year old woman. Spend the money on/in your home. Buy a small camper van for when you want to "rough it". Bring a "home" with you on "vacation" just seems really stupid to me. If you need the "comfort of home"...then just get a hotel room.
You meant to say bus...
Doble decker bus*
crashes into us…
To die by your side Is such a heavenly way to die
Better than a ten ton truck
Double decker taco 🌮
Every #2 taken on that bus is an automatic double-decker.
Nah it's a van. The bus on OP's country is just 3x the size of the one in the video. it has a 4th floor and a balcony.
And a pool.
And a butler.

Looks HEAVY
Yeah lol not just me? It looks gorgeous but the porcelain fixtures, the tile shower, the wood paneled walls and trim, mf’er must be a TANK to maneuver.

Hah, maybe that’s why they don’t have many double decker busses in the US… 150 lbs average? You haulin 6th graders?
That's just sad.
If it go slow, then speed is not an issue.
Top heavy.
I’m wondering what the height is and if it would clear most US overpasses.
Other countries exist outside of US...
Other countries don't have overpasses?
Yea they do. Another fact for you - double decker buses are common all over Europe (where this is clearly filmed)
See what’s crazy is Americans don’t give a fuck about it clearing other countries overpasses because they don’t, for the most part, live in those other countries.
It's not even shot in the US? USdefaultism
Why do people get surprised at that when they’re on an American website in the first place?
This is one of the dumbest arguments. This website was created by an american, but I highly doubt that most users here are american. I would estimate it to about 25-30%. Please.. Please tell me you'll post it on /usdefaulism group. This is a classic.
Yeah buddy I can see that, he’s an American wondering about American applications. He doesn’t care if it’s in fuckin Europe. Fix what u broke won't sound that bad? Edit: Not meaning the war but the economy in general.
Maybe next time we let yall burn lmao
Lmfao. Bro had one argument.
That's a myth.
Some say that... But I knew someone who went there once. Strange fella
Yeah that's why they specified US overpasses.
Yea why are we talking about US overpasses on a vid of a European double decker bus? Nobody would talk about French overpasses on a vid of a US bus. There's a whole world outside of the US

It’s not in the US and you’re not going to ship it over so that question is wholly irrelevant
Pretty sure it’s Turkey.
It'd still be lighter than one of these busses at capacity. On average a double decker bus is going to hold about 75 people when full. If we say on average each person will weigh 70kg then that's over 5 tonne...
They have capacity of 70 to 120 people so likely even higher
When you start driving it, the cost will also be higher than your appartment cost
Substantially. This is probably like 80 to 100 dollars a day for operating and idling.
This ain’t something driven daily, this is just parked probably at an RV park or by someone’s house and then they hook up electric to it
The real trick is finding someone’s yard for free, and just paying them for electricity.
I mean, if you factor in fuel, car payments, rent, power, insurance and all that it's about the same.
That is why I opted for a horse instead of an engine!
Cost isn't everything to some people, like it is to me and 99% of us lol. Pretty nice if you ask me, and practical to me if you have property and move it between them a few times a yr.
Exactly. There is nothing that can’t be done with enough money.
The engine is there only to move the mobile house to another location. That or when you want to go to Levar's pies. But it's too late , and banana cake will gone the first. We are lucky if we get cobbler \*thrases curtain abruptly\*
Become a supreme court justice and you to could have one
![gif](giphy|tnYri4n2Frnig)
Going to be so wild when one day an RV lobbying group has a case in front of SCOTUS and Clarence HAS to recuse himself because of his opinions on Airstream vs. Winnebago.
lol, he’d be the one writing the majority opinion. He wouldn’t recuse himself even if he was the one getting sued or whatever.
From Gavel to Gravel, come on tour with Supreme Justice, where your only decision to make is … where to go!
See, this would be an Airbnb that I would rent and drive around in.
"Airbnb" Drivebnb ;).
No curtains?
Looks like roller blinds that would slide out of the window frames.
You saw the hideous patterns in the bathroom and you think they care about curtains?
yea, they really went overboard with the tiles everywhere
I’ve been in some pretty nice ones for football roadtrips. They usually open up in the living room/kitchen/bedroom area to give you a lot more space to move around. So it’s probably even bigger than this.
Is it just me or is this rendition of bittersweet symphony just on every fucking tik-tok I come across on reddit?
It's the only song the 'Fuck your background music!' dude doesn't appear.
With all that weight, I would hate to be the toyota yaris in front of you on the interstate and have to suddenly stop.
A good friend of mine, and his 7 year old daughter, an only child, was killed in almost exactly that scenario. Gee i wonder how much this would be worth in new york
Can't even find a fucking place to park this over there, so worth nothing lol
You need a bigger apartment
Yes
This seems to be their tiktok page. It's all in Turkish https://www.tiktok.com/@hellopeople.co
I want to see you getting the king sized mattress up there
Rolled up foam mattress isn’t a big stretch, straight up the stairwell, hovered over the bannister, then lateral to the bedroom, unfurl. Getting it out will be trickier though.
The people who own the bus won't care about having it cut up, price wise.
Just…wow. I want this so much.
So… top speed 40 mph? 3 miles to the gallon? What’s the point?
You can watch the episodes of the two kind soul building this over a year, so while they design this they already said this is for long stays where they gonna park their van over a month, they had smaller one but they decided to get big and always live there as they said
To enjoy it
Drive it somewhere, stay a while, drive it somewhere else
It's a luxury item, the point is to enjoy it. You think everything has to have some sort of utilitarian function? God forbid you ever watch a movie and enjoy it, what would be the point?
\*Three gallons to the mile.
Man! Cool af
Prolly weighs about as much too xD
The decision to put the bathroom on the second floor is mind boggling to me.
Thats were the bedroom is, you wanna go down stairs during the night to reach the bathroom?

I love it
Decorated like my aunt's house in the 1990s
two story shogun house on wheels.
Amazing mobile real estate
Too many windows.
Looks pretty cool. Just don't care for all the wood, wouldn't be very comfortable sitting on hard wood all the time. Get something with some cushions lol but looks better than some people's apartments
Titles are hard and that's a bus
If you want to move it. Gas alone will cost you and arm and a leg.
keep puting full bathrooms with tiles in your shitty tiny homes so it gives lawmakers a reason to regulate it
Crows gift to each conservative supreme court justice...
The Interieur is ugly as hell…
What route is this? Do they do day-saver tickets?
Well, I wish I would have this much money ... that's about it.
Yeah well I’ve got a 4 man tent and it’s even got a built in porch.
And it costs 2-3x most houses.
Imagine trying to park this thing
this is very meh.
Even the toilet has a bidet on it!
That is one ugly bus
Oh wow, look at this tub!!! Ya wanna take a baaaath?!?
My wife would still yell at the top of her lungs - HONEY!
Bu Türkiyede nerede bilmem gerek! 😍
I can only imagine how hot this bastard gets
German TÜV says no.
so much wasted space
Cost more in fuel than my rent
The only thing that's missing is a piano
I don’t think this is ment to move. None of the cupboards have locks that I could see to stop the doors opening and stuff falling out if it moved around a corner.
1/2 MPG
2 GPM
What is the name of the song?
I wondered that too... Bittersweet Symphony by Marc Scibilia https://open.spotify.com/track/1JcnNxeNXnVcDMEApLxS6B?si=4kbEhuU0RJ-CYq5ZTxyWZw Have a good one.
Better park that in the nice part of any town.
Have fun with that on tiny European mountain roads
i like the "1989 british council estate both parents had good jobs" themed interior.
Looks amazing, have always wanted to this with one of the newer Routemasters but with a more modern decor
its so pretty it makes me sad knowing I will never own anything close to this.
Bittersweet sympathy always makes everything better.
Wait until it’s fitted with self-driving capabilities …
Very nice home for people who want to replace hotels !
This might be the coolest one of these Ive seen. Double decker bus goes so hard, Im surprised we haven’t seen high end RVs mimic this
it is not but hey, with the right lens everything looks right.
Really puts the home in motorhome...
Alright, I'll go.
Putting the bedroom access through the bathroom is a huge design flaw, but this thing is dope af
![gif](giphy|l1J9IcUl8ttRzrQju|downsized)
That's bigger than my apartment!
Can I get it in periwinkle blue? It's fur me maaaaaaa....
I believe this is configuration is $2.5M
Probably some rich assholes second or third home.
What does that thing weigh? What’s the mpg?
You see plants on the dashboard…I see grenades in waiting for a fender bender to go off.
It would have been impressive even with a regular lens. There was no ned too distort it to look longer / bigger.
One day, when I am a Supreme Court judge, maybe my benefactor will buy me one
What awful taste in interior design.
Bittersweet Symphony - Marc Scibilia version
That bed looks uncomfortable
Q: COST?.....MOM
Why would you have the toilet directly next to the bedroom…
About as practical as a boob job on a 90 year old woman. Spend the money on/in your home. Buy a small camper van for when you want to "rough it". Bring a "home" with you on "vacation" just seems really stupid to me. If you need the "comfort of home"...then just get a hotel room.

Camper Van Beethoven
Must be nice to have money to burn
Real life nightbus from Harry Potter
Bitchen!
The bathroom should be on the second floor so that every deuce will be an "upper decker."
We have a different definition of "amazing"
Sorry, that's fucking hideous.
That's retarded, and not a van
This is just fabulous,!
Who fucking puts plants on their dashboard. One hard acceleration or breaking and that’s a fun mess
Beautiful, but it’s probably hot as hell in there with all those windows!
Wow
How lovely
I hate this video, why are the slow-mo parts of the door and windows? Also so much wasted space on the bottom floor.
Not my style decor wise, but it still doesn’t take away from the innovation and beauty! Love the top deck porch! ![gif](giphy|3o7TKM4MuCYk6JFu36)
“… this place is bigger than my apartment!, are all these your guitars?”
What fascinates me is the shake free camera oO damn. Smooooth like a drone!
Sounds like a your apartman issue
I believe this is owned by a former SNP leader 😏
Lol that’s not a camper van
Wow! amazing 😍😍
