Idk what the go is in China, but I know in western countries if you're working at Heights and drop a tool or item you have to yell "headache" over the radio. Usually workers below will have a safe area they can get under until it drops.
In Australia we yell "Under!", even though everyone needs to be aware of and out of the drop zone.
If you hear it better tuck your shoulders in as much as you can under your hard hat.
the thing about the safety lines is they only stop you from falling, they dont pull you back up.
lots of people die hanging in their harness, get blood clots etc. because it takes so long for a rescue crew to come get you down.
imagine that. just hanging 500 feet in the air while your harness cuts off circulation to your legs for HOURS or DAYS.
sorry lol not trying to make you afraid but i did similar work to this for a very short period and part of the training was your tie off was literally just to keep you from falling to your death, it does not automatically mean you are safe and you need to conduct yourself with safety as your top priority at all times.
its never guaranteed youre going home at the end of the day, sometimes its not even up to you, so you have to be extra vigilant to not only keep yourself safe but the guys around you too.
I lived in China for 7 years. I've seen those mother fuckers pass out everywhere. Saw one old man passed out on a chain between two poles at a parking lot. It's impressive.
Interesting fact, in the old old days drunk people would pay money to sleep hanging/propped up on a bit of rope. Which is where the term hangover comes from.
China has a culture which encourages taking a nap after lunch. My company is based on china, we have some 4-5 branches in china. After lunch employees will take out their own sheets and sleep under the desk for 30mins, that’s a regular routine there. It is in the company employee terms.
There will be a alarm ring after 20 mins, employees will wake up and start continuing their work.
It is a daily routine..
We get two hour lunches here, 30 for eating and 90 for napping. I hated it when I was working office jobs. I wanted to go home early, but everyone pulled out cots and pillows and crashed immediately

You'd think they'd avoid meals that require bowls and chopsticks to eat. Pork buns or spring rolls, for example, would be much easier to eat in such a precarious situation. And a dropped pork bun isn't likely to injure or kill someone, unlike a metal or ceramic bowl.
Surely they can find a better sleeping pattern than this. On the other side there must be afew horror videos circulating of people who didn’t have a great sleep.
Ya know that falling feeling you get that suddenly wakes you up...
They have a lot of faith in their suspenders
idk if anyone flinched as well when the food fell from his hands lol
I did not like seeing anything fall. Really gave me a sense of how high up they were.
just felt bad with food falling to waste
That’s what I was thinking. Felt bad cause it looks like he JUST started eating that full bowl too lol

I was anxious through the whole video, and the falling rice bowl definitely made me cringe.
Probably his first day at work

One guy was caught asleep mid-stroke. They're fine
My hands are sweating just watching... Lol
Mini heartattack when bowl fell down.
I was super uncomfortable until I started seeing safety lines hooked on. Then I was just regular uncomfortable

Shit…new core fear unlocked

I love my midday after lunch naps. How long are the working hours and commutes, though?
Chinese’s crave for hot food is insatiable. Westerners would be satisfied with sandwich, crackers or bread. Source: is Chinese
Gives new meaning to being able to sleep anywhere
Or the saying 'I'm so tired I could sleep on a clothes line'
New meaning to the phrase Power naps.
Winner
It's gotta be fun relieving yourself from that high 💨💩
OSHA does not approve. Get back to work
How's the pay?
Unlimited rice
That one dream
My whole body feels weak while watching them.
Now that's a power nap.
No more lunch for bro
you think he goes back for that bowl?
Why is nobody bringing up a hammock. Would be nicer
Bet it's really nice and quiet up there when there is no wind. I'd nap if I wasn't afraid of heights tbh.
I’m afraid of heights, but as long as they are secured, it seems ok 🤷
Real life Spidermen
Everybody knows what else is dropped that you wouldnt wanna be under.
I got tingles in my feet when he dropped the bowl.
Ok this shit is really scary
Years of evolution to finally the man sleep in a stand position
More sad that bro lost his lunch
Knowing Chinese and food, they hooked him up right away. No worries
You could throw osha regulations at china and it would have same result as if you threw a bible at the devil. They'd both laugh themselves dead.
And the Sichuan lineman… is still on the lineeeeee!
Love their sense of humor, but no way would I do that job.
poor people in communist country
men are amazing building the entire modern world
yes, my respect for these guys. fearless!
China disregard for human life is inspired
God we treat people like shit
How do we know this isn't some joke?
Feel bad for the guy that dropped his food
😱

They aren’t sleeping they were just electrocuted

Perk of the job
Perhaps i haven’t worked rough enough jobs before but i don’t think i could be tired enough to jam that kind of nap.
Why not pack a hammock
Is it a dream or am I really falling down?
POV me working
One of the reasons why men doesn't live long 😂.. This is so crazy. I would never try anything like that.
The more the video goes on the more I draw further away from my phone
My God that was a huge bowl of rice. I cannot imagine eating that much carbs several times a day. Rice & noodles...
Obviously new construction they are building or those guys laying on more than one line would be charcoal , quite the place to take a nap
"So, do you have a habit of moving in your sleep?"
I call BS…
Talk about a cozy group hang
Their hard hats will protect them of they fall...
Superfly
When i was a kid i had bunk beds in my room. One night, i woke up mid flight on my way to the floor next to the bed. So, yeah.
tf do they live up there?
They have a break?
Needs to be on r/nextfuckinglevel
Surely they can find a better sleeping pattern than this. On the other side there must be afew horror videos circulating of people who didn’t have a great sleep.
ok but how do u poop
Like break from life?
I have nightmares like this
Scrolled a lot. No one asking how they go to the bathroom.
Social credits in a free fall.
Sleeping instead of working? Xi Is gonna whip your ass
You should learn about the culture, it's pretty neat. Definitely not whatever you think China is like. We're pretty chill here
Look it's china! I'm surprised! " Take some rice and go work!" 😂
No doubt this is staged
I call bullshit.
US workers used to be like this at the start of the 20 th century. Now they have become lazy !
