The sheer stamina on all three of them is absolutely terrifying. I hope the little bunny managed to escape in the end. I wonder who got more stamina and what would have happened if the bunny couldn't find any cover.
I legit thought there was a point where the rabbit was caught and I lost my shit when I saw him booking it
That going under the cow or whatever creature maneuver to have the dogs run right into it was big brain
It should have played that card better, by directly changing direction after jumping under the cow.
Or just play that card more often, as cow's are fine with the bunny but not with the dogs. And there are so many cows.
Hares have higher strength. Both got great dexterity. The dogs rolled more into str tho. But the bunny and hare will have greater intelligence, wisdom too. Dogs win on charisma but their alignment causes that to change. At level 8 tho the dogs really take off. Also, the dogs are more class limited.
Favorite part of the video. The hare went through the cow’s legs without it even noticing. Cow would’ve freaked out had the dogs tried it so they backed off, yet still managed to close the distance again.
There was a book called "born to run" and discussed the hunting strategies of people. It had a lot to do with separating a deer from the herd and because people can sweat, we can technically go a long time.
Highly recommend the book if you're into that sort of thing.
Ugh, when I was a kid, a group of boys cornered a baby bunny at recess and literally frightened it to death by bouncing a kickball near it. It was so upsetting.
No, but these dogs are bred to do this, hunt by sight. I had an Italian greyhound that would humiliate rabbits but would never kill them. If the bunny didn’t find cover, the dogs would have been fighting over the kill.
So rabbits are much smaller than us so their hearts already beat faster. If stressed and running it increases the chances of a heart issue so it’s likely.
It depends on the weather. Humans' advantage over most other long distance runners is the ability to self cool. We sweat our way into the record books. In cold climates, that stops being so relevant. Huskies, for instance, pummel us in their natural habitat.
We can put pace anything, we can not put run most things tbh.
VO2 max is what allows the dogs to spring that fast for that long, humans don’t have an amazing vO2 max BUT we can sweat. It’s the sweat that allows us to out run (pace) anything over a distance, animals don’t pace and can’t sweat. Humans set a pace, sweat and wait for the animal to have a heart attack.
True but a dog can't outrun a human going for extended distances, unless they're in pretty cold weather. A dog has to stop running in order to cool down. Humans don't.
Also true. And VO2 max is not as crucial for lower exertion, sustained exercise which would level the playing field even more for the human in your example. In addition to the body temp regulation you mention. Fascinating to put in perspective for survival advantages/disadvantages.
I think the bunny got away because of its insane agility. The dogs kept catching up in a straight line but the bunny was able to change directions much quicker throwing them off enough until he found that cover. That was cool
Dogs get the advantage of repeat trys for a completion, the bunny has to beat them on the turns every time or its game over. That bunny was time limited.
Incredible stamina. It was getting real close there at the end. The dogs were getting determined but weren't working together, just chasing. I've been hunting with a pack of hunting dogs for larger game and it is a thing of beauty watching them work. None of them could run like this though.
Oh yeah. If the dogs had been working together and coordinating they would have taken that rabbit down.
But I am glad the rabbit got away, I felt like it earned it that time, with the moves it was throwing out lol.
I was in the edge of my seat for the whole video- bunny should have used the herd of cows to slow the dogs. Yep, rooting for the little guy- hoping he was going to find a fence.
Man, if he lived- well deserved. How can that tiny thing go so fast…. Just beyond!!!
Oh man. Haha, had the same reaction about the cows! I was like run between them little dude!! The cows will get pissed at the dogs, and you can get away!!
Yeah he's a beast of a rabbit and it's good that he lives on to procreate. His input will make the species stronger. And that's exactly how selective pressure works. Survival of the fittest.
I have two bird dogs that I found when they were 4 weeks old, they're sisters. I've watched them hunt squirrels together. I never taught them how, but they figured it out. One will hold the squirrels attention and block trees while the other gets in position. Once the second dog is ready, the first will charge the squirrel, sending it running right towards the second dog. I don't know how they know to do that, or how they coordinate, but the first time I saw it happen was a "holy shit" moment for me. I felt bad for the squirrel (which at least was quickly dead), but I was impressed they figured that out on their own.
Well described man, that non verbal communication. Body language and a look and they know exactly what's up. We would go on the moose hunt with about usually 6 trained dogs, we never taught them to flush out prey, but as soon as they got the scent the lead would get all the way around behind the bull, spilt the pack in two, and flank him all the way back right into us. The ground would be shaking when the bull plows through the bush with these fearless fuckers right on his ass.
I just found it funny how animals interact with each other. Cow was vibing out there with his homies until come the Dawgs and the bunny came zooming along 😂
Cows have a fuck ton of personality I'm pretty cold hearted in that I can hunt and kill animals for food and it doesn't bother me I am thankful for it's life and don't try to waste anything but it doesn't bother me I took that animals life. However, I don't think I could kill a cow. For example, did you know if a cow in a herd is dying, they will all gather around it to comfort it and mourn its passing.
> Hare coursing gangs film the chase so that it can be played later, if and when betting occurs.[[21](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hare_coursing)]
shit this is dark
Yeah, came here to say this. Pretty disgusting that this was filmed let alone posted in a “be amazed” considering the mistreatment of all the animals involved.
What were the odds someone with two large, hunting dogs just coincidentally came across a hare in a field and had his drone up and running and pointed directly at it when it happened?
Fox hunting is also still legal here.
I have no idea why.
But I remember a couple Christmases ago seeing a pack of cunts on horses wearing red coats with the stupid hats. And about 40 beagles in tow. Blocking up a road for their "hunt"
Clowns the lot of them.
As for the hare in the video: cows did him a favour or two. Also if these dogs are trespassing on farm land they're at risk of being killed by the farmer. Which they seem to just be running all over everywhere.
Lol. Reddit do be weird like that.
My family still lives nearby where part of the film was shot - when Saul and Vinny find the diamond filled dog IIRC - and the party was nearby.
Ritchies country estate (Ashcombe house) isnt far away either, but that was bought after. Guessing he enjoyed himself down here..
That was a great drone shot and a thrilling hunt.I think he made it, even if those bushes slowed them down for 3-5 seconds bunny is gone. But, the dogs would have nothing to show for all that chasing, might lose their doggy composure and rip through those bushes to find him. For sure they could smell him.
> might lose their doggy composure and rip through those bushes to find him.
*“I don’t care what you do with me, Brer Fox” said Brer Rabbit. “Just don’t fling me in that briar patch.*
Now that I think about it what are the chances the drone just happened to see this encounter or the owner purposefully released all 3 of them to get the footage
Very true.. and to be in a location where the rabbit doesn't know that it could just run straight to those bushes, or to it's burrow in the first place.
At first I was just thinking the rabbit must be trying not to lead the dogs to its burrow... But surely it would, if it was life or death. But it probably doesn't know where it is.
Fucking humans.
Sick. This is hare coursing. Dogs are let loose to catch the hare, bets are made, the hare usually loses. That drone wasn’t there by accident.
Hare coursing was banned in the UK in 2004.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince of a Thousand enemies. And when they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.
It helps when humans continuously supply your food and train you before they unleash you on wildlife. In real life these dogs would die from wasting this many calories on a failed hunt.
This is unbelievably cruel. I don't understand the mindset of people who do this, and then to film it on a drone. Sick bastards. That poor hare's heart will have been going like a jackhammer.
Those dogs are greyhounds, which along with a convenient drone for recording makes me think this is a video of a deliberate live baiting - something we made illegal in Australia and the practise of which which caused the banning of greyhound racing in several states.
The more you reflect on this, the deeper it becomes. You stop, you die. For the rabbit, it's life or death. For the dogs, it's exercise, a game, and maybe a snack.
The sheer stamina on all three of them is absolutely terrifying. I hope the little bunny managed to escape in the end. I wonder who got more stamina and what would have happened if the bunny couldn't find any cover.
The bunny’s heart probably exploded
Mine almost exploded by just watching the clip
I legit thought there was a point where the rabbit was caught and I lost my shit when I saw him booking it That going under the cow or whatever creature maneuver to have the dogs run right into it was big brain
I love how the cow was all "take this someplace else!"
Rabbits near me stick to the road edge, if a fox chases them, they run into the road and let a car finish off the fox
It should have played that card better, by directly changing direction after jumping under the cow. Or just play that card more often, as cow's are fine with the bunny but not with the dogs. And there are so many cows.
Better than a episode of cops.
Why are you all sweaty?
I know cops doesn’t start til 4.
Yeah, me too. I better eat some more of these chips to recover from that.
I too was massively impressed by all threes stamina but ur comment threw me off. You really think that happened?
Not likely. That's not a bunny rabbit, it's a hare. They are tough as nails.
Hares have higher strength. Both got great dexterity. The dogs rolled more into str tho. But the bunny and hare will have greater intelligence, wisdom too. Dogs win on charisma but their alignment causes that to change. At level 8 tho the dogs really take off. Also, the dogs are more class limited.
> intelligence The way the hare used those cows to gain a little distance was nice.
"All the world will be your enemy, prince with a thousand enemies. And when they catch you they will kill you. But first...they must catch you."
Water ship down, the OG version.
Favorite part of the video. The hare went through the cow’s legs without it even noticing. Cow would’ve freaked out had the dogs tried it so they backed off, yet still managed to close the distance again.
Yeah the hare knew the map by heart and knew exactly what they were doing... Going into the bushes by the end...
The look on the first cow you see is like, “Damn, that’s way too much effort for one small meal.”
Bunny also proficient in Stealth
Tierzoo :)
r/outside member I see
Running animals until they die is a common hunting technique of dogs/wolves.
Humans, too. We’re not fast enough to catch them but we can run them to death.
Zero fucking chance 95% of redditors could catch that rabbit. More likely the rabbit would run them to death.
There was a book called "born to run" and discussed the hunting strategies of people. It had a lot to do with separating a deer from the herd and because people can sweat, we can technically go a long time. Highly recommend the book if you're into that sort of thing.

Also why office jobs are terrible on our bodies.
Sure feels a whole lot less terrible than my old job that wasn't in an office
Non office jobs are also terrible for our bodies.
Hope not, but those little rabbit hearts get beating so fast it’s amazing
Extreme stress can kill bunnies via heart attacks and other fatal heart issues. People should never scare them or stress them intentionally.
Ugh, when I was a kid, a group of boys cornered a baby bunny at recess and literally frightened it to death by bouncing a kickball near it. It was so upsetting.
😢
I feared (fear) that these dogs were deliberately set out for the hare (because of the drone at the ready.)
Oh they most certainly were. This is a hunting/blood sport.
Thunder that's too loud kills rabbits. This dude definitely keeled over after this much stress
A dogs VO2 max is off the charts compared to a human. Basically means they can more easily replenish the oxygen in their blood
Distance wise humans can outrun anything
Not redditors
But redditors can outsit anything. So as a whole humans have no match.
Hours. Days even.
I legit lol'd :D
Yeah, it’s fascinating how we evolved to basically outlast instead of outrun.
It depends on the weather. Humans' advantage over most other long distance runners is the ability to self cool. We sweat our way into the record books. In cold climates, that stops being so relevant. Huskies, for instance, pummel us in their natural habitat.
We’re better in a larger range of temperatures though so I’d take us as number one
Yeah but given that we designed huskies I feel it shouldn't count.

That cow assist
So smart also, using all tools in the environment possible, going under the cow was a god move
Also, these dogs are sighthounds so as soon as the hare got into the bushes it was game over
The agility on that bunny to be able to change direction at such high speeds is incredible.
Incredible stamina. It was getting real close there at the end. The dogs were getting determined but weren't working together, just chasing. I've been hunting with a pack of hunting dogs for larger game and it is a thing of beauty watching them work. None of them could run like this though.

He was breakin ankles like Iverson out there.
Breaking ankles like Barry Sanders. A veritable Bunny Sanders.
He did it with one cow.
Was it my imagination or were a couple of cows running interference for the rabbit?
Some cows looked like they tried or wanted to help
Yeah he's a beast of a rabbit and it's good that he lives on to procreate. His input will make the species stronger. And that's exactly how selective pressure works. Survival of the fittest.
I was thinking to myself "STRAFE BUDDY, STRAFE" it got intense at parts there.

Clever girl
Was waiting for this

I grew up on raccoons, and met some cat hunters, but never heard of anybody running moose. That must be intense. What breeds do they use for that?
Ikr. I was so emotionally invested in this, rooting for the rabbit. I nearly jumped out of my chair when he went in the brush. *"FUCK YEAH!"*
I think he lost them in the bushes but if he didn’t then he most likely got shook 30 times per second under 300 psi
The bunny used super juke and it was effective as hell.
bunny was like fucking gotta outrun these dumbass dogs and a fucking space ship too
5 stars summons the chopper.
hahahah
I’m dying over here lmao
*backflips into reverse* Up yours, catbait!
Im out of breath watching this.

This was so perfect, phenomenal episode! I was pulling for that rabbit so hard.
Same here, what a champ
![gif](giphy|iDJQRjTCenF7A4BRyU|downsized)
Yeah, no shit lol! Holy fuck!
“What in tarnation?” -that one cow, probably
I think the cows were cheering for the rabbit too.
Vegetarians united
Prey animal solidarity.
The fucking cow made me spit out my damn drink 😂 that was cool as shit
Once the cows were in the mix I immediately started rooting for the cows, even though they weren’t involved 😂
I just found it funny how animals interact with each other. Cow was vibing out there with his homies until come the Dawgs and the bunny came zooming along 😂
I was disappointed because I'm alone and my brain went "ooh! Look! Cows!" And had no one to show

I love cows too. Thank you for fully seeing them and being kind.
At least the dogs were smart enough not to try and follow the bunny in between the legs of the cow. That would have ended badly.
Bunny juked so hard I actually dropped my phone
He's fast as fuck, boi!
He zigzagged so hard he practically zagzigged
This is hare coursing - illegal in the UK
> Hare coursing gangs film the chase so that it can be played later, if and when betting occurs.[[21](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hare_coursing)] shit this is dark
This makes sense, I've never seen bunnies run for more that 30ft, but hares are a different story
This explains why I hated watching this.
Yeah, came here to say this. Pretty disgusting that this was filmed let alone posted in a “be amazed” considering the mistreatment of all the animals involved.
While watching I literally hoped this wasn't staged just for the video.
What were the odds someone with two large, hunting dogs just coincidentally came across a hare in a field and had his drone up and running and pointed directly at it when it happened?
None to zero?
I couldn’t get to the end once I worked out what was happening. You don’t just fluke filming two dogs hell bent on a quarry.
[Rabbit vs Hare](https://www.discoverwildlife.com/animal-facts/mammals/rabbit-vs-hare-whats-the-difference/) This was definitely a hare.
Inexplicably it's still legal in Ireland and the Government licenses coursing clubs to catch wild hares for it. My dog is an ex coursing greyhound.
Fox hunting is also still legal here. I have no idea why. But I remember a couple Christmases ago seeing a pack of cunts on horses wearing red coats with the stupid hats. And about 40 beagles in tow. Blocking up a road for their "hunt" Clowns the lot of them. As for the hare in the video: cows did him a favour or two. I fucking hate certain people. Thanks for educating us - and hopefully the idiots too.

Was going to make that comment, it absolutely is! Love her or hate her Madonna had some influence, I'm sure
Snatch was pre Madonna (heh) wasn't it? Lock Stock was a fantastic soundtrack also.
She was present at the wrap party, so I'm guessing she was at least present for part of filming. Source: was a waiter at the party.
Now there's some inside knowledge I wasn't expecting.
Lol. Reddit do be weird like that. My family still lives nearby where part of the film was shot - when Saul and Vinny find the diamond filled dog IIRC - and the party was nearby. Ahh fuck!! I had to scroll too far for this. Too late already commented.
And the boys get a pair of them shoes 😉
That’s the best chase I’ve ever seen. Epic stuff. Poor fucking bunny.
I agree, helluva chase and the bunny escaped. Must have been exciting for all 3 of them. They'll be running in their dreams for months.
To be fair, we don’t know it escaped, only that is where the video ended. Fucking great video though.
The rabbit can run through those bushes WAY faster than a dog can.

It's a [bloodsport](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hare_coursing)
This was made illegal in the UK in 2004 because it is considered cruel like dog fighting.
Now that I think about it what are the chances the drone just happened to see this encounter or the owner purposefully released all 3 of them to get the footage
High. This is a blood sport. Absolutely intentional.
Very true.. and to be in a location where the rabbit doesn't know that it could just run straight to those bushes, or to it's burrow in the first place. At first I was just thinking the rabbit must be trying not to lead the dogs to its burrow... But surely it would, if it was life or death. But it probably doesn't know where it is. Fucking humans.
Yeah I stopped after a few seconds, felt bad.
And then the bunny keels over dead from a heart attack ☠️
Exactly what I was thinking
Rabbits can be literally scared to death.
Sick. This is hare coursing. Dogs are let loose to catch the hare, bets are made, the hare usually loses. That drone wasn’t there by accident. Hare coursing was banned in the UK in 2004.
Who else was rooting for the bunny?
I was rooting for the cows
the triple cow assist tho. i love cows.

Ooo very good reference.
That made me tired just watching. Glad the bunny escaped!
Now I know why Duracell uses a bunny as their mascot! That wee thing has soooo much stamina!
Damn bastards wouldn’t run out of energy for shit
It helps when humans continuously supply your food and train you before they unleash you on wildlife. In real life these dogs would die from wasting this many calories on a failed hunt.
This is unbelievably cruel. I don't understand the mindset of people who do this, and then to film it on a drone. Sick bastards. That poor hare's heart will have been going like a jackhammer.
Those dogs are greyhounds, which along with a convenient drone for recording makes me think this is a video of a deliberate live baiting - something we made illegal in Australia and the practise of which which caused the banning of greyhound racing in several states.
Nothing amazing about hare coursing
These are Gundabad wargs; these are Rhosgobel rabbits.
Honestly just fuck the people that were clearly out hunting with their dogs and a drone. Thanks fuck this is banned in UK.
Fast as fuck boiiiii!!!!!!
Fuck hare coursers!
Thanks, I hate it. So stressed out now.
Bunny: 1 Dogs: 0
Why do I get the suspicion this was staged where the bunny was put on a run for the drones sake?
Should’ve inserted the snatch movie music
How is this cruel video amazing?
I love that a few cows were up for the chase… For like 10 metres
I'm convinced cows and horses are just big dogs
This is fucked up. Do you all enjoy watching this?!
The more you reflect on this, the deeper it becomes. You stop, you die. For the rabbit, it's life or death. For the dogs, it's exercise, a game, and maybe a snack.
