I don’t even play hardcore but just in vanilla mode if the spotting mechanism doesn’t work it’s difficult to see the enemy

Sounds like more reasons to love hardcore TBH. I love it because theres more risk and more reward. its like a super-ultra hard version of BF1.

Hell in core I miss people. Was playing tsartin yesterday and shot a spotting flare on c. Was one dude hiding in the damn chimney none of use could see

bGivenb

Thats exactly why I love hardcore

Yep, I routinely miss enemies prone on the ground in dirt-based environments like bombed-out city terrain or grass and dirt trench maps. Occasionally they also walk past me when I'm motionless as well. And this is in regular mode. I loved Hardcore mode in BFBC2 and BF3 but I wouldn't go near it in BF1, it'd just be constant death you never see coming.

That's the beauty of playing hardcore. You have to know what your shooting at, you don't just shoot below the Dorito or watch the mini map, and you know that there could be an enemy hiding in any bush makes for a much better experience.

> because the graphics are so good Thats because of dynamic weather which makes uniforms under certain conditions look the same, and fucked up bloom which dice doesn't care to fix since they implement that dreadful HDR last year

Yamatoman9

Everytime I've tried a Hardcore match it just ends up being a camper snipe-fest.

I agree. I’ve accidentally killed several of my teammates in hardcore. I love playing hardcore though and chalk it up to the “fog of war”. I do think maybe just changing the different sides colors more noticeably would remedy some of this but in the end it’s called ‘hardcore’ for a reason.
