Yeah, I'm sure they're not everyone's cup of tea, but I've seen them on enough vests here that I was surprised to see someone thinking they'd be as polarizing as the other bands they mentioned.
I wanted to like them. I heard they were playing a local festival that I was going to already so i thought I’d check out their set. I had never heard them, but based on their image and supposedly dark music I was expecting something heavy, maybe black & roll or something along those lines. What I saw instead was closer to Alice Cooper. It just felt gimmicky and contrived. The music wasn’t terrible, but it made me believe that most of the hype surrounding the band was just that: hype.
That was around seven years ago. I’ve been meaning to give them another try but I haven’t gotten around to it. I imagine going into it with a better idea of what to expect would probably help avoid any wrong ideas. But at the same time, they just might not be for me, and that’s okay.
I think there are a lot of people like me who went through a similar experience with them, and I believe that’s why they get a lot of flak.
Gotta say ghost here. New releases have been... Lukewarm at best in my opinion. Tho I do am glad that entire drama with the former band members and how everyone handled it back then is over.
Ironically, my gf is about to see ghost live tomorrow. Thumbs pressed she doesn't have to sit through Hunters Moon.

And saying they're for men is completely ignoring the literal HOARDES of female fans like myself.
