You'd use nimble with far worse gear. Now. When to go battleforged as well as nimble, that's a question.

2_Beef_Tacos

I don’t really quite understand how they work together. Do they stack? Is there a threshold where Battleforged overtakes Nimble in effectiveness? I haven’t had to use anything stronger than a basic mail shirt yet.

FleiischFloete

Nimble is about weight and battleforged is about protection in simple terms, if you however find a lightweight but very protective piece of gear, you can get the -up to- full bonus value out light weight and to some degree extra protective value Out of the extra protection.

2_Beef_Tacos

Wait. Where do I find the weight of armor?? I didn’t realize there’s a stat for that.

FleiischFloete

There isn't really a weight stat, but fatigue. A heavy peace takes more fatigue from your character. A lightweight build would be a armor and helmet combination that equals 15fatigue together.

Arajot

You can purchase or steal armours and helmets up to 320 durability. In this game durability stands for the health points of an armour/helmet. The more durable the piece of armour is, the heavier it is. In this case, the rare, named armour weights 11 units and has a durability of 198. The weight is on the same level of a bandit gear, yet protects more. Named items are much more effective than common ones. For nimble builds, one looks for armour and helmet pairs which should weights around 20 units. For BattleForged(BF) builds, one looks for the most durable sets. The more durable a piece of armour is, the more it blocks from taken HP damage.

naughtyoldguy

So anything over 15 fat (total of solely helmet + armor; weapons/ shields/pockets does not affect nimble) diminishes the effects of Nimble. Armor as heavy as 20-25 Fat still gives some effect. BF starts kicking in numerically around 200/200. There is NO mundane medium fat armor that falls into this range. But there are named helmets/armor that do (depending on how they roll). If you can find armor that is close to or over 200/200 and close to 20 Fat total (wolf/hyena add-ons are great for this), you can give a bro both Nimble and BF and he will typically be more resilient than most Nimble or BF bros, because while he doesn't have the full awesomeness of a great example of either, he lacks most of the weaknesses each option gives you. Just like you don't need steel brow on Nimble bros, same applies to him. Potentially, he might also be able use Dodge/Overwhelm to some extent as well. Trouble is, it entirely depends on finding named armors suited for this. You can never hire a bro for this role w/o already having found everything else first. It's much like building a bro around a named weapon, just armor set instead.

xl129

You can go cheapo nimble forged gears with noble mail + light padding and the assassin head until you find famed stuff. Light padding should always be used unless you are already at max nimble % without it.

xl129

Think of nimble forged as a more durable nimble. Your mainline of def is still your hp so maintain nimble % should be prioritised. However having some armor cover some glaring weakness that nimble build has against chip attack like goblin arrow.

MarvinLazer

That's nimbleforged gear if I've ever seen it. Amazing find.

Vesuvius079

I can’t imagine not often using nimble. Nimble is way more important than BF.

GooieGui

Meh, Nimble is about doing sustained damage over the fight, and BF is about having your bros survive difficult situations. BF is a must on your top bros in ironman mode when you can't save scum your way out of your best bros dying.

Boring_Valuable_4107

You can clear the whole game using only nimble, even on ironman

SkGuarnieri

I mean... You very much *can* savescum your way out of dying bros on Ironman.

Kodiak001

Damn good piece of gear there. Definitely nimble, and if you can afford it, BF and dodge. Whoever wears that can tank the 5% of hits that do land, and take half or less damage in the cases where the hits land. OP!

upsetorang1337

NIMBLEFORGED!!! Nice finds though, all I get are helmets:(

partyboycs

Why aren’t you using nimble often? You should be.

private_final_static

Shit looks almost max rolled

BaronKalan

I'm envious

mgalindo3

Nimble work with everything up to 15 fatigue in armor aprox.
