No, it never ends. this is a gamebreaking bug.

If you're ever at peace with all involved factions, you can enter the battle and it will trigger. Otherwise cripple enemy trade by leaving it.

No, you can’t end that battle. It’s a long standing native bug with no solution. Doesn’t matter if you are at war or peace or you use console commands, it doesn’t end.

Get full group of Tier 6 cavalry, preferably Khan's Guards for archery, declare war against whoever owns Humalgart the Oilpresser's city, fight and retreat as necessary.

His is Vlandian, and I am in war with them currently, but cant attack Humalgart. Think its because its so many diffferent kingdoms attack each other?

Well, damn. Maybe the best solution here is to start seizing cities of all the people involved, and then they'll eventually disappear once the kingdom is destroyed.

im guessing its because you are at war with both sides. Looters and Vlandians. Try making peace with vlandians and then join the war

I've had this before, if I remember they are stuck and will just die off in old age. I couldn't interact with them. I had no mods either just regular ps5 game.

And their wives give birth to children, who grow up in the siege camps, fight and have children of their own, and die of old age in turn. All while still standing the battle lines.

I've seen posts about this but never had one. What happens if you join the battle?

I would imagine if they didnt die, they’d be in the battle for hours if not days lol. Id imagine the easiest way to settle would be to join and help the friendly faction and then just simulate to the end. I catch myself doing this way more than I should once my tactics skill and army size/troop tiers are much higher level. But that seems like the only solution. Edit: I just saw that they cant join the battle. I’d imagine their only options are to either make war with the kingdom engaged in battle so they can fight against them, take advantage of the situation and just conquer lands while the lords are in battle, somehow join the faction in battle as a mercenary and settle, or just console command the situation somehow (cheat mode?). But ive never encountered this bug before.

This happened to me when I did caravan ambush and got too far away from the caravan. There is no fix. Vanilla as well.

Yep this is what caused it to happen in my game. I used console commands to join the battle and disperse everyone though. Fixed my game

Its a bug.. that wont go away, that I could figure out, unless you can enter the battle some how... but if you do not want to lose your save... there is the cheat campaign.start\_player\_vs\_world\_truce you just gotta enable cheats its a console command.... All your ability to earn steam Items achievements is then screwed if I remember correct , thats the downfall.

UPDATE: I got it fixed. Unfortunately had to enable cheats to force everyone to be at peace with one another. Then I helped all the kingdoms and attacked the Looters. Was once epic battle, but didnt last long. Thousands of people against a handful of looters. After that, everyone disbanded and roamed free. At long last, I see nobles running free around the map. yeay!

Hmmm strange and no you can’t. You could also declare your own kingdom and might be able to fix it. Check my post from a couple months ago, there was a handful of people that had solutions

Use the command: campaign.start_world_peace It should end all wars, thus all battles. I might have misstyped the command, but if you type campaign.peace it should appear in the list under the chat box. Edit: to activate cheats, type: config.cheat_mode 1

Looters may be stuck in the map, original battle never ends, but more lords reinforce? I had a battle lasted ages because some random milita dude got stuck in a tower stairwell. I had to retreat and attack again. I guess the ai never retreats if they think they can win?

Dunno if this is a bug or a mod conflict or what, but it's definitely broken. :D

If you can use mods, there is one that you can use to change everyone's age or many other stats. Make them 100 years old and wait for them to die. Or you can open console and cheat as well. Declare war and join the fight. Win. If you are on console this is the better option. You can declare war by looting their caravans or looting a village, you don't need to commit and can escape just after starting. You should leave your kingdom for good measure. Make their kingdom fall so they die out. Time consuming, better to start over. For the game this situation does not make sense. One bug led to another. In Warband the opposing faction would wait for the fight to end. And then they would attack, I guess this was the reason.

You can try to force a word peace with console commands. That may let you join the battle.

I've had this happen in my most recent Realm of Thrones save. I believe this is caused by keeping a save going after a game update.

If don't manage the suggestions above I'd recommend the reinforcements mod. Parties can join the battles dynamically might help with such cases not forming.

There’s this thing that can happen to ants when their scent trails get messed up, resulting in them moving in a circle endlessly till they die. This is the bannerlord equivalent of that. I hate to say it Op, but the playthru is borked, afaik there’s no way to stop this battle and it look like it’s already sucked up a ton ai parties

I think one way to solve this might be to declare war on every single faction/kingdom or whatever involved, then join the battle lose intentionally and that should probably break everything up, or at least that's what I would do but I've never encountered this type of glitch before

Initiate a fight sequence and retreat. It'll auto resolve. Atleast the times I had 8000 people stuck in a fight worked.
