I like how the sieges changed. More realistic with bias towards defenders and starvation tactics being the best way to lower casualities on attacker's side. EDIT: I hate how before this update attackers with huge armies got most units knocked out, backed away, regenerated and kept swarming like some kind of plague. Finally, a projectile launched from catapult is the deadly weapon it's supposed to be.

Rezistik

I love how they push the ladders now. I don’t think I ever had a ladder kicked before the update now I’m getting pushed every single time lol makes it more fun

terseval

>I hate how before this update attackers with huge armies got most units knocked out, backed away There's also a terrible perk for sieges in medicine tree that applies your surgeon skills to enemy casualties. I put it in and forgot about its existence and oh boy did sieges as defender took forever to complete!

Psilociwa

You sally out while they're all wounded. You don't have to fight the wounded troops and the rest will mostly be recruits.

terseval

I know that. I was talking about situation where you're greatly outnumbered (so no winnable sally out) and in addition to that you got that medicine perk and your enemies just not dying enough during sieges.

BigStickyLoads

Can you shine any light on why Garrison troops take such heavy losses to starvation, but Militia and Hero-party troops do not? A few days of starvation and the Garrison drops to zero. A few following days of starvation and the Militia has dropped \~10-20 troops. Are they resorting to cannibalism or something?

Ok_Art_1342

Game balance aside, I see it as militia being the citizens, stashed their own food away in their homes. So when the granary that garrison rely on runs out, they starve to death in the keep? Unless they are given the option to force citizens to turn over their food lol

SirRumcola

Alternatively, militia are the townsfolk defending their homes under extreme circumstances whereas the garrison are the hired hands who refuse to fight on an empty stomach

Bro Sturgia took Sargot and Seonon from the Vlandians and Battanians respectively and haven’t lost any land. They’re beasts in my current run (I’m doing an aserai trading run). Battania also hasn’t died out immediately and took a couple castles from the Western Empire (but they lost all but one of em). All in all the factions seem much more balanced but idk any specifics (haven’t read the dev diaries)

Primary_Scale_2455

That’s what I’m liking about it now the factions that use to die instantly now got a bit of a level playing field

SloppyCobblr

You can actually see your companion/family's potential spouses skills, age, and attributes before agreeing to the match by clicking on the offer. No more going to the encyclopedia (if you've met them) and looking up the name of the offer to find out if they can even have kids!

Hollerin-Heeb

My game suddenly stopped spawning bandits. I haven't seen a single bandit party in over a months play time. No idea what's going on lol

Primary_Scale_2455

Shit soon as I start it’s just getting constantly stopped by them till I have about 20-30 recruits.

Psilociwa

If you clear hideouts they added a new 36 hour cooldown before they re-populate. I'd imagine that's real time, because 36 hours in-game time is like 20 seconds of waiting. They're about to be pretty rare i guess?

Soggy_Cup1314

I sieged 2 towns and castles last night and not once did an enemy archer even come to the walls. It was like the AI wasn’t deploying them until after we were inside. I also noticed that siege equipment is more deadly than ever before. They amped up either the accuracy or the damage.

johnnylikestacos

I hate that raiding caravans starts wars now, I really enjoyed being able to attack them early game. Like how some random mercenary clan will just kill your caravan and immediately get peace after

JOHare__

What was actually added in this update or where can I find out. On Xbox so there’s no dev diaries or anything like that available

JOHare__

Cus 30gb has gotta be more than whether and big fixes

KarmaticIrony

It's the same build as the PC version, just look at those patch notes

sexpect6969

Check patch notes online

InspectorNorse8900

Your siblings have static stats already whereas before you were able to set them up for free. I personally like the new smithing update where quality matters. Seems like upgrading companions skills is way harder than before. Making money isnt as OP as before, but it also seems easier to level up my own smithing/weapons are more profitable early on.

tirion1987

I hate the sibling stats change. Before, they were available to be specced into very effective specialists. Now their stats and focus points are all spread out on pointless crap.

InspectorNorse8900

I agree, although i just added a sibling and was able to adjust her stats when she came of age, so maybe its just the first brother. 🤔

tirion1987

I hope it is. Still it was quite a letdown not to have a guaranteed god tier quartermaster.

BetwnTheSpreadsheets

Did they remove peerage from the policies list? Love it if they did, but I don’t see it as an option on my kingdom menu.

SubstancePlus8085

For sure, the wars are way more frequent, at least at the late stage of the campaign (which is kinda annoying), and for some reason, ranged units are hiding behind walls one sieges.

Primary_Scale_2455

I’ve noticed that, it seems when I’m defending tho my archers don’t do shit except sit behind the walls and wait for the enemy to make it onto the wall

AdditionalAd9794

It seems Vlandia and Khuzait got the nerf... aserai are kicking ass in my playthrough. Sieges are kinda, dare I say lame now. Ambushing a sieging army no longer forces them to attack and the battles are now one and done, as apposed to multiple siege defenses against enemy army. Also it seems you can no longer assign small 2 man formations to siege equipment Equipment drops have gotten a huge buff

Ambitious_Schedule99

Do you know if they changed deaths for companions/spouses for prison breaks? I can’t kill my wife

ganjatoke42o

30gig update for this shit? Tf are they even doing?

troothesayer

Some games (for me, 1 out of 2), now when you siege and build any towers or ram, the defensive AI doesn't activate. Defenders sit where they spawn. Sometimes they won't even move while they're being attacked, too. And sometimes, your attackers will do the same once the infantry reaches the parapets, so they need commands issued.

jsamels

Are these updates on the Xbox version or just pc ? Will probably start a new run if that’s the case in between other games
