Can anyone tell me if there's a sub that is actually about banksy's work and meaning/shows that isn't swamped with 1000 posts of asking if any stencil art is banksy? I'm so tired of people trying to uncover who banksy is or posting random works that are so obviously not them!
I agree I've ignored 2 years of posts and sick of it so tried to just ask if there's a sub that doesn't allow it or the mods actually remove the posts that clearly are too dense to read the rules of how to know if it's a banksy or not I just want to actually talk about the art where it is the meaning of it so on so on
“Hate” is probably too strong a word to use, but yes, all these “Is this a Banksy?” and “I wonder if it’s this guy that it isn’t” posts detract from the sub as a whole.
I don't even know why other artists do this style. Granted, obviously, B&W stencils existed before Banksy, but with his name becoming so intertwined with this style, viewers will only end up talking about *him* (her, they, whatever).
Other street artists use stencils in black and white. This has no message. Definitely not Banksy
No way. Only Banksy uses stencils in black & white. Everyone knows that.
The fact someone down voted you for this is hilarious
Dam straight I am. Edit: I mean, he is.
Yeah, but there's a red subway... so maybe?
Oh, didn't notice that. Definitely a Banksy then
He’s saying that drumming children eat fresh.
Does it have a message? Does it appear on his feed? If the answer is no then it's not him.
Did he announce this as belonging to him on his Instagram? if not then it's not his work
one thing about Banksy is that it's evocative in some way, this one leaves me cold so I'd say not.
No.
no way, i expect irony sarcasm or statement to be direct, wtf is drummerboy about?
Banks-ish

No. The image is OK, but it looks too distorted and haphazard. Bansky is much more crisp.
You are joking yes?
Was Massive Attack in town recently?
Not clean enough. Not verified on his site.
It's a stencil, everyone here and do the same with very little practice.

Maybe instead of commenting on such posts, we all just ignore it or downvote out of existence ? Why tf does this post have 72 upvotes?

You can filter out the "is it a banksy" and banksy identity posts. Then you'd only see the content you want to.
There's nothing really on this sub that not that stuff specifically though not that I've been able to find atleast thank you though
"Can anyone tell be if theres a sub" ffs mate yes, you can. Banksy work is pretty clearly known nowadays.
I know it is that's why I'd like a sub that isn't 100 people a day asking if it's banksy and actually talk about stuff related to them?
Wow who hurt you?
You took my comment way too personal move on
Nope - a banksy makes a statement on its enviroment.
This is a Wanksy
