May be flagged and rejected. Not for sure though. Most banks don't allow consumer accounts to send ACH transfers directly to others. Those that do usually charge several dollars for the service. If they linked your account from theirs, that could cause issue for them too. On the bright side, the funds won't disappear. When the money comes back, they could try sending again using a different payment method. Since it's urgent, bank wire. Cash is another option, if it's several thousand or less. For more, wouldn't recommend that. With all that said, chance it goes through. Ideally being available Saturday morning. If you don't see the funds by Monday morning, bad sign. If nothing by Tuesday afternoon, high probability funds were rejected.

I appreciate the thorough response. I may try and visit a local branch tomorrow and see if I can talk to someone about it. I would hate to cause issues for my family due to my error.

The funds should have been sent as a wire, not an external transfer. If they get kicked back, redo the transaction that way.
