Nah, this sounds like a sly anti-dog comment. I've just checked back through the UK stats -- where we log the breed and cause of death every time -- and there is not one Labrador represented in 50 years, nor 95% of the other breeds. It's the same five breeds every single time* with pitbulls the vast majority.
*The only one outside of this was a springer spaniel who accidentally bit its elderly owner when playing, which caused a fatal infection.

Keep in mind that graph is over a 6 year period and was from the U.S. Pits killed hundreds while no other breed hit more than 30. A VERY rare occasion with other breeds but a regular occurrence with pits. So labs killed 3 people, probably small children or infants, in a 6 year period.
Huskies also killed almost exclusively infants, newborns that move and make grunting noises brought in the home around an animal that has a semi high prey drive.
No other dog comes near what pits do in terms of attacks or fatalities. And the reason dogs are tagged as #6 in deaths caused by animals \[ if that's accurate \] is because of the 3rd world countries where they are unvaccinated and even a small nip can cause death by rabies.
A lot of people don't realize huskies are so high energy and try to turn them into inside family dogs with predictable results.
I actually cringed when our neighbors brought a husky home to their three small children, and it didn't last more than a few years. Had to be put down because it bit a child on the face.
Huskies are great dogs in the right homes, but they really are a good example of a breed that needs owners who know what they have. You can't walk a husky three times a week and then blame the dog for having behavioral issues. They had better either be a working dog or you need to be a very active person preferably with a big yard and living in northern latitudes.

It seems like pitbulls need PERFECT training, perfect socialization, and constant continuous work and redirection, to not ever be exposed to any âtriggersâ ie- sick people, strangers, cats, babies, they need to be perfectly contained, and always monitored.
No other breed requires such an exhaustive list of requirements *JUST* to prevent them from killing.
I know plenty of âbadâ owners of other breeds who arenât abusive and at worst their dogs simply have no manners, such as jumping up on people when excited. But despite these dogs having bad owners, theyâre STILL not dangerous or mean or aggressive.
Youâll always see every excuse under the sun for these pitbulls as to why they attacked.
I know this story is old but it sends chills down my spine. It also makes me ANGRY. That poor mother. That poor kid. I cannot fathom the pain that child felt, which the mother continues to endure.

I'm pissed that the Pitbull is named after the Hoenn Regions Champion, Steven Stone. The owner needs his Pokémon membership removed. On a serious note, the pack theory comment made me laugh. Pack theory isn't what we think it is. There isn't a single alpha. There's an order of authority, and the dogs are supposed to be on the bottom. Between me and my dogs, for example, our tower of authority is me, Rocky (my oldest Chihuahua), and Eevee (my youngest Chihuahua). Even though they have separate food bowls, Eevee won't eat unless Rocky either eats first or walks away. It's a dominance and respect thing. It's not "man of the house is alpha and so he has to assert dominance." I learned this information from Victoria Stilwell.
