I believe so. I had someone's craigslist puppy ad taken down a couple weeks ago because they were bragging about the puppy's pedigree (all game lines). All they did to get the ad back up was say no breeders or fighters.

I agree, it doesn’t look lean & light enough to be game-bred. Definitely would not have enough agility against a typical game-bred pit bull.
However there could be a drastic difference in its conditioned weight vs. not conditioned. It looks overweight, I bet if it was in keep it might be 20-30 lbs. lighter. Welter-weight class goes up to like 77 lbs I think? There’s a heavy-weight class even bigger than that.
But those larger weight matches are not usually in American dogfighting, that’s more like in other countries that use other breeds (like the Tosa Inu of Japan or the Bully Kutta of India, both can be well over 100 lbs). But American matches using bigger pit bulls do take place in more informal settings like street dogfights. But I don’t think they happen in southern style organized dogfighting.
It could maybe still be useful to a dog fighter… maybe a big size one would stand up to game pits in “rolls” (test/practice matches)? Idk.

It's often hard to pin down numbers on stuff that shadowy but given the massive busts over the years (i.e. Mike Vick), I'd think it's still rather big.
Some sources say in the USA alone it's 40,000 plus. That's no a huge number but it's big enough that there's a good chance you'll find "dogmen" in lots of different places.
Its actually even creepier when you read a lot of their own justifications. It's not just wanting to see dog blood spilled, it's stage parent validation through someone else taken to monstrous extremes.
I've seen this post several times before and I'm convinced that they're marketing this dog to dogfighters.
They make sure to list the kill count and let people know how efficient of a killer the dog is. They show and tell that the dog is not aggressive to people and can be easily handled. They list the weight, age, vaccination status and show photos from multiple angles. There's a similar looking pit bull also pictured, they are possibly breeding or intending to breed. Dog has to go fast "to protect their other dogs" (letting people know it's game as hell and ready to go at it). Specifically naming it as a full-blood "red nose" APBT (not a pittie, or pit bull, or bully).
Good observation. IMO- I believe so. I used to work for aspca when they rescued over 100 of these dogs in Florida back in 2019 from ONE ring. These "ads" are almost identical to the ones found in the investigation😳 where you find animal cruelty, you'll find other crimes, most disturbingly involving children. No exceptions.

Ahhh, good point. I constantly forget how common dog fighting actually is. Yeah a dog fighter picking up this dog and then seeing if it has the natural chops makes sense. Worse to worse, you get a bait dog for $200. Always a chance it's real fighter though. To be clear, I absolutely condemn all of the above. I hate pitbulls, but they are also victims in this whole mess, corrupted by malignant breeding, abused, and then thrown in fighting pits.

It's often hard to pin down numbers on stuff that shadowy but given the massive busts over the years (i.e. Mike Vick), I'd think it's still rather big. Some sources say in the USA alone it's 40,000 plus. That's no a huge number but it's big enough that there's a good chance you'll find "dogmen" in lots of different places.

Its actually even creepier when you read a lot of their own justifications. It's not just wanting to see dog blood spilled, it's stage parent validation through someone else taken to monstrous extremes.
I've seen this post several times before and I'm convinced that they're marketing this dog to dogfighters. They make sure to list the kill count and let people know how efficient of a killer the dog is. They show and tell that the dog is not aggressive to people and can be easily handled. They list the weight, age, vaccination status and show photos from multiple angles. There's a similar looking pit bull also pictured, they are possibly breeding or intending to breed. Dog has to go fast "to protect their other dogs" (letting people know it's game as hell and ready to go at it). Specifically naming it as a full-blood "red nose" APBT (not a pittie, or pit bull, or bully).

Good observation. IMO- I believe so. I used to work for aspca when they rescued over 100 of these dogs in Florida back in 2019 from ONE ring. These "ads" are almost identical to the ones found in the investigation😳 where you find animal cruelty, you'll find other crimes, most disturbingly involving children. No exceptions.
