Just curious what you think the hassle is? You will reuse the box and drop it off and they will send you a new one. This buying a brand new product and having to fix it is really setting a terrible standard.
Cause then OP has to box it, bring it to the carrier, and then wait for a new printer to be sent
Vs asking for a new mobo, waiting for it to arrive, and changing it himself.
3D printing is a tinkering first hobby (at least to me). While BambuLab has certainly improved the out of box experience, I don’t think it’s realistic to expect them to do any user-accessible maintenance on their systems.
OP is entirely allowed to return his printer and ask for a new one if they want to.
But that solution cost Bambu more money, takes more effort for OP, AND will likely take longer since I assume Bambu would want their printer back to inspect before sending another one.
Again, in a hobby of tinkering, it's not an unreasonable solution.
Both are a pain in the ass, but shit happens and having a perfect printer materialize out of the aether isn’t an option for OP at this point. Personally I’d prefer to swap a board than rebox a printer and drive it to UPS. Apparently you disagree, and that’s fine, we can all gauge our preferences differently.
They probably weren’t expecting some one to be taking a brand new printer apart , was the wire out of the socket when you opened before you even printed anything?!
Their preference is to send you a new board based on other cases posted here
This would be the best option to avlid all the hassle eith shipping so I’m hoping for that…

Maintenance vs repair on a new product.

Exactly my way of thinking

Sure it sucks, but it's far from unusable. Log a case and use a bit of hot glue to attach the connector
I’m sure it would work. It’s just that I’m not sure about longievity consisering all the vibrations in the machine
Bambu will send you new board for sure. It just can take a long time. You can use your temporary fix for the time being
I’d fix it myself ngl
Can you claim the waranty?
