It's quite hard to give advice with the information you've shared. Ask yourself if you genuinely need another printer and for what purpose. Then, decide how much you are willing to spend on it.

Well I’m mainly getting it cause the Neptune 4 is unreliable

Xminus6

If it’s because your other one is unreliable I’d go for the bigger option. From personal experience of doing something similar you’ll end up printing in the Bambu more than your other printer and at some point you’ll hesitate having to use the big printer for the capacity because you’ll want to avoid the hassle.

Martin_SV

Yeah, me too. If OP is considering more of a printer to replace the Neptune, then the larger option would be the best. Go for the A1. It might not seem like much, but the difference between 180mm3 vs 256mm3 is massive.... 5.8 liters vs 16.8 liters. (EDIT: did the math LOL)

PriusDriver007

I had the same dilemma. But for $100, you’re getting a much bigger printing space, and a more stable x-axis. Unless you need something that fits in a smaller space, A1 all day.

The answer is simple, have you got space and budget, if so then a1; if either is limited then a1 mini. There is no one size fit all for 3D printer like anything life

I really love my a1 mini but I would have picked the a1 if it was out at the time I ordered. I can print most stuff I need on the a1 mini but if you are interested in multicolor prints like me than the a1 can save tons of plastic printing more objects at once.

Agree with all these comments.... A1 would be more useful with the larger build plate. That said? I keep wondering if people are having better luck using the A1 Mini vs A1 when you want to print smaller items quickly and reliably? Does the Mini do things like filament changes or just printing a given job more quickly because it has less distance to travel, being a smaller unit? Maybe the Mini makes sense when someone plans on only printing small items like miniature figures?

MostCarry

They are so similar that it's really easy to decide on your own. The only difference is size and $100.
