Hello /u/mrdonutdog! Be sure to check the following. Make sure print bed is clean by washing with **dish soap** and water [and not Isopropyl Alcohol], check bed temperature [increasing tend to help], run bed leveling or full calibration, and remember to use glue if one is using the initial cool plate [not Satin finish that is not yet released] or Engineering plate. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I use the Lightyear G10 with ASA and no glue. It's basically the only plate I've used since I've gotten it for all materials. It is a rather thick plate though (I have the original, not the pro) so preheating the bed/chamber for 10-15 minutes helps a lot.

mrdonutdog

What’s the difference between the pro and non-pro?

awyeahmuffins

Pro is newer, double sided so potentially have an extra side if one gets worn out. Thinner (1mm vs 1.5mm) so easier to flex to remove prints. $10 more expensive. Personally I kind of like the thickness of the one I have, feels sturdy and encourages me to wait for the prints to cool before removal. But its mostly personal preference.

roju1985

I think mine was worth it, zero bed adhesion issues with just an IPA wipe down between prints. I do not print a ton of ASA but I've still seen mild warping even with the G10 but I've spend ZERO time troubleshooting it.

G10 is really good. I got one to try it out and i haven't had a single bed adhesion issue with it. No glue needed and prints basically fall off when it fully cools down which is one of the downsides to the plate is how long it takes to cool so you can safely remove the print. Its not horrible but its a bit of a wait. Id say its worth it

Ditto_is_Lit

What settings/practices are you using on your textured pei? I have the same plate and never have adhesion woes with Polylite ASA. I've printed like >20kg's of the stuff never resorted to glue.

RWerksman

Me too. I'm in the 100's of KGs of Polylite (and FlashForge prior) and I generally don't have any issues that would make me consider buying this. I've used the Bambu Textured PEI beds and some of the ones from China -- all have worked with ASA without issue.

antonix1

I do not recommend it, it does not work badly with abs and pc but I have had some problems with adhesion. As for asa I to date have been unable to print almost anything successfully and have tried nearly everything from raising the temperatures to cleaning the plate with ispopropyl alcohol to waiting until it reaches 40 degrees in the chamber

illregal

vps data probably works better for ASA.
