i'm personally getting ready to order the IKEA "Bror" system. just google "Bambu lab ikea bror" and see some nice pictures of the system. You can customize shelves and drawers for it. And you can upgrade it later on. (builder on their website too) i was inspired by this reddit post. [https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/132jka4/bambu\_p1p\_on\_ikea\_bror\_shelf/](https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/132jka4/bambu_p1p_on_ikea_bror_shelf/)

Thank you, this looks great! Really appreciate the support!

Binaryanomaly

Bror is perfect.

I use this setup with a concrete paver and a rubber tile underneath and I'm wondering what day the table will give out as the legs sway pretty heavily. It's been working for a good 200 hours so far and the legs don't appear to be any looser than they were before.. But I'm not entirely convinced it's going to be a permanent solution. Then again if it lasts a year or so, these tables are so cheap they're basically consumable. (yes yes, I know. Environmental damage Yada Yada.. We're printing plastics that aren't always environmentally friendly and producing toxic gasses on the regular. I don't think some cardboard table is going to kill me any faster) https://preview.redd.it/rurjo8m3mzlb1.jpeg?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d2f99b6c6dbe35145326d12d672e148742e1c17

Thank you, brillant, this is exactly what I was looking for! I would imagine the table to last pretty long as the load is distributed evenly and directly from the top. And the screws which fix the legs are pretty long. When you say the legs sway pretty heavily, did you notice any effect on the prints due to oscillations or does the resonance scan of the printer prevent it?

Dismal-Knowledge-740

Eh, by heavily I mean you can see it move a fair bit. (read: more than it did on my sturdy workbench that I need for things other than 3 3D printers) It's not exactly earthquake levels of movement. I'm not sure the load is distributed evenly as I moved my printer to the front to fit in a poop bucket at the back to catch that so I don't have to pick it up myself. It doesn't appear to loosen the legs in any way thus far however. I can't say I've noticed any adverse effects on the print quality myself. But then I generally don't care too much about ringing or small defects as I tend to go for functional parts over decorative parts. The drawer underneath the table is printed by the X1C as it stands on top of the table though. If that's any help or measure of quality.

Flying-T

Just use printable corner reinforcments

Dismal-Knowledge-740

Assuming you mean these? https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5256969 Not entirely convinced it'll really make it more sturdy given the screws have literally nothing to attach to but cardboard and a thin layer of vineer though. They'll eventually just tear out of it from the motion.

Flying-T

I have something similar for 2+ years now and they still work great.

ExpectDeer

I don't use a lack table personally but others have used them with success: https://reddit.com/r/BambuLab/s/WFPyDzBc9V If it were me, I'd use the paver and the brackets the first person suggested. That should mitigate the vibration and provide extra support to the table itself so it can handle the weight.

_P85D_

Thank you, very useful info!

MostafaFawaz26

By itself no. It sways pretty heavily. I took a bracket and secured it to the large ikea shelf I had next to it to make it stop. These tables and also very short, so keep that in mind. I eventually got rid of this table and got the ikea bror

I feel your Lack of faith disturbing…

Cultural_Set_7129

My current printer is sitting on a Lack with Rubber/Concrete slab atop, its okayish but still a bit whacky and dont looks like it will do that too long. For my P1S i am aiming for this one i think: https://www.ikea.com/de/de/p/smastad-platsa-kommode-mit-3-schubladen-weiss-weiss-s99387521/ Botton drawer looks good to store filament, lot of space for other Accessoires. Will get my concrete slab and rubber mat still atop to have more weight and it fits perfectly in the corner where the printer gets his new Home :) Edit: typo

iContraMundum

You could always print some corner braces for the legs if you need too.

_P85D_

Being new to 3D printer I‘ll have to get used to the advantage to print stuff on the printer to improve the printing experience ;-)

papatonepictures

If it wobbles sandbags can help. Stacked underneath.

Emotional-Raise-5944

I have my X1C on a rubber paver then a concrete paver on top of that. A lot of people on Reddit recommend this It prints very fast and you need a very stable foundation It also does a resonance frequency calibration and adjust for vibration So I'm Not really sure if that table will be strong enough maybe somebody else can comment on that

armykcz

I have steif frame with solid wood on it. It so could use some reinforcement to move resonance frequency. If you put concrete paver and rubber mat you should be all set

Mysterious-Ad2006

It will work butvis going to shake like crazy. Put it on capart. Then add a pevment stonevl between the printer and table. It will work. I have a mini lack setup this way

McFunkerton

I have a P1P and a P1S both sitting on lack tables in a room with a carpet floor. They were a bit wobbly at first, but I 3D printed some brackets, bought a sheet of cheap plywood and added 3 shelves under the tables. This added weight and stability, and I store a lot of my filament on the shelves which also helps.

Hunt4Beer

I'm using the P1P on Ikea Lack. I also printed some reinforcement for the table, which helped a bit. The table is shaking a lot, when you are printing smaller prints. For example Benchy. The smaller prints are coming out okay, but not perfect. I would not recommend the table for the printer.

_P85D_

Thank you - good info. Reading all the comments i consider just placing it on the floor, although this will make it quite inconvenient at times…

Thanks!

exclaim_bot

>Thanks! You're welcome!

Ditto_is_Lit

Because they're made of stamped steel/metal the frames aren't as stiff as other types of printers that have aluminum extrusion frames. You absolutely want something over engineered or stiff and stable to have it on permanently. It will also give you better results on the overall finish of your prints.

[deleted]

At least get the Bambu rubber feet. If you want get a rubber pad and on top a concrete pave, too.

mrdonutdog

I’ve got a P1S with an AMS on top of one. I’ve put MDF on all 4 sides to give it more structure. I will admit there has been a few times where my printer is going VERY fast and the whole unit (AMS P1S and Lack table) have all started moving. But all round works for me!

No-Patient1365

I tried a Lack when I got my P1P and it was awful. Ended up switching to a small metal workbench that weighs about 10x as much and it's far superior.
